    摘要: A magnetic pulse forming process is performed by an apparatus and a method that causes the plasticity of a workpiece to be preliminarily increased to facilitate deformation to the desired shape. Initially, a mandrel having a surface and an electrically conductive member are provided. The workpiece is oriented between the surface of the mandrel and the electrically conductive member, and a first electrical current is caused to flow through the workpiece and the electrically conductive member so as to increase the plasticity of the workpiece. Then, a second electrical current is caused to flow through the electrically conductive member and the workpiece so as to cause to cause the workpiece to be deformed into engagement with the surface of the mandrel.

The double walls of the chamber, access door and vent door are filled with granular shock damping material such as silica sand, and the floor of the chamber is covered with granular shock-damping bed such as pea gravel. Along the outside of the chamber are steel manifolds from which a linear array of vent pipes penetrates the double walls of the chamber, with each pipe terminating in a hardened steel orifice through which the explosion combustion products pass.     摘要: The present invention relates to a method for surface structuring of workpieces, in particular molds for plastics processing, erosion electrodes or the like, in which a structured surface is applied to an unstructured workpiece surface in order to map the structure into the workpiece surface. In order to provide a method which can be carried out more quickly, and which involves no environmentally hazardous process steps, it is proposed that a structure layer which has the structured surface is arranged between an explosive layer and the workpiece surface, and the structure is forced into the workpiece surface by detonating the explosive layer or a surface-structured explosive layer is arranged on a workpiece surface, and the structure is embossed onto the workpiece by detonating the explosive layer. The invention furthermore relates to a workpiece produced using this method, such a an injection-molding mold, a blowing mold, a compression mold, a foaming mold and a pressure-casting mold, erosion electrode or the like, in which the structure is forced into the workpiece surface by means of an explosive layer.

    摘要: A drill and rivet aligning pilot pin on a lower pressure foot passes through a hole in a nut plate to index the same on the lower pressure foot. An upper pressure foot has a stepped projection which is receivable into an aperture in the workpiece and is also receivable into the nut of the nutplate as the pressure feet are brought together to clamp the nutplate and workpiece therebetween. The nut and workpiece aperture are thus properly aligned for drilling of the workpiece and the insertion and squeezing of a rivet.

    摘要: A drill and rivet aligning pilot pin on a lower pressure foot passes through a hole in a nut plate to index the same on the lower pressure foot. An upper pressure foot has a stepped projection which is receivable into an aperture in the workpiece and is also receivable into the nut of the nutplate as the pressure feet are brought together to clamp the nutplate and workpiece therebetween. The nut and workpiece aperture are thus properly aligned for drilling of the workpiece and the insertion and squeezing of a rivet.
