    Abstract: Rolling assembly comprising tire P, rim J, adapter connecting a bead and the rim. The adapter has axially outer (9) and inner (10) ends mounted on rim seat (7) having respective outer (16) and inner (20) reinforcers. Body (11) connects the outer (9) and inner (10) ends forming a single piece, an adapter seat (18) receives a bead and is situated at end (9), an adapter bearing face (21) in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis, and situated on the axially inner face of outer end (9). Reinforcer (20) of end (9) is axially outside bearing face (21). The body comprises, opposite adapter seat (14), annular seat reinforcer (19) and the adapter comprises conductive strip (22) positioned over all or part of the circumferential perimeter of said adapter and along a complete path extending from adapter seat (14) to rim flange (8).

    Abstract: A vehicle wheel includes a first annular component, a second annular component configured to be separable from the first annular component and mechanically connected to and aligned with the first annular component about an axis of rotation of the wheel, and a plate. In some examples, when the first and second annular components are mechanically connected, the first and second annular components are configured to receive a tire and define a recess along an annular surface of the first and second annular components, the recess being configured to receive the plate. In addition, in some examples, when the plate is received in the recess, the plate inhibits relative rotation between the first annular component and the second annular component about the axis of rotation of the wheel.

    Abstract: A retaining ring (30) for use in combination with a wheel rim (10) having a separable bead flange (14) to secure the separable bead flange on the rim in the absence of a properly inflated tire is characterized by an inboard facing portion (30a) and an outboard facing portion (30b) and a split in the ring defining terminal ends, (32,33) each terminal end having a circumferentially oriented first bore (36,37) in the inboard facing portion (30a) and a second bore (38,39) in the outboard facing portion (30b) at an angular relationship with respect to the first bore. A groove (40,41)(70,71) in the outer surface of the retaining ring (30) interconnects each first bore with each second bore and a steel lockwire (50) is threaded through the bores from one terminal end to the other and seated in the grooves and the ends of the wire (50a,50b) are twisted together to lock the terminal ends (32,33) in a specific spaced orientation (d) such that the ring may expand a limited amount when subjected to centrifugal forces tending to expand the ring and the wire (50) limits the amount of such expansion and maintains the separable bead flange (14) on the wheel rim (10).
