Abstract: A tire 12 includes: a tread surface 34; seat contact surfaces 58 each to be in contact with a seat S of a rim R; and side surfaces 60 extending on and between the tread surface 34 and the seat contact surfaces 58. Each side surface 60 includes a flange contact surface 62 to be in contact with a flange F of the rim R, and a flange opposed surface 64 which is located radially outward of the flange contact surface 62 and is to be opposed to the flange F. The flange opposed surface 64 is formed to be a surface having a diameter increasing outward in an axial direction. A shape of the flange opposed surface 64 is represented by a circular arc, and a radius of the circular arc is not less than 11.0 mm and not greater than 20.0 mm.

Abstract: A two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire having a tread, a tire carcass, tire sidewalls, and two bead regions with a bead protective strip. The tire carcass is formed from a first carcass inlay and a second carcass inlay. The second carcass inlay is arranged radially inwardly of the first carcass inlay, and extends from a crown region (17) of the two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire and terminates at a second carcass inlay end under the bead protective strip. The two-wheeled vehicle pneumatic tire provides improved puncture protection whilst maintaining good rolling resistance. This is achieved in that the first carcass inlay is guided with a first carcass inlay turn-up over the particular tire sidewall as far as under the tread to a first carcass inlay end, and terminates there at the first carcass inlay end.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising a tread band containing an anti-puncture system capable of offering high resistance to the penetration of foreign bodies. In particular, the present invention relates to a tyre (100) for bicycle wheels comprising: —a carcass structure (2); and —a tread band (7) arranged in a radially outer position with respect to said carcass structure (2); characterised in that said tread band (7) is made by vulcanisation of a vulcanisable elastomeric compound comprising fibrillated polymeric fibres of micrometric dimensions, wherein at least one protective layer (6, 11) is interposed between said carcass structure (2) and said tread band (7), said protective layer (6, 11) comprising (i) a plurality of reinforcing cords of textile material oriented with respect to the equatorial plane of the tyre with an angle greater than 30°, (ii) a square fabric with textile fibres of the weft or warp oriented with respect to the equatorial plane of the tyre with an angle greater than 20°, or (iii) a non-woven fabric with randomly oriented textile fibres.

Abstract: A tire for a two-wheeled motorized vehicle includes a tread joined by two sidewalls to two beads, the tread having first and second elastomer compositions, crown reinforcement, radially inside tread having a crown layer having mutually parallel circumferential reinforcers forming an angle at most equal to 5° to the circumferential direction, a carcass reinforcement, radially inside crown reinforcement, having turnup. Carcass reinforcement includes mutually parallel reinforcers, and wrapped, in each bead, from the inside to the outside of the tire, about bead wire in order to form turnup having free end E2. Carcass reinforcement includes crown portion and lateral portion, crown portion extending axially between first and second ends E2, E′2, E2 and E′2 being symmetric to equatorial plane P of the tire, lateral portion extending symmetrically to equatorial plane P radially towards the inside, from radially outermost end E2 to fourth end E4 disposed at the bead wire.

Abstract: Provided is a heavy-duty pneumatic tire in which not only occurrence of a damage of CBU but also occurrence of pulling-out of a carcass ply can be inhibited, and which has excellent durability. In the tire, beads each include a cover enclosing at least a part of a core. The cover is located, between the core and the carcass ply, in a portion at which the carcass ply encloses the core. The cover is composed of one cover ply including a large number of aligned cover cords and a cover topping rubber covering the cover cords. A ratio of a distance between the cover cords to an outer diameter of a carcass cord is not lower than 0.35 and not higher than 0.85. A difference between a hardness of the cover topping rubber and a hardness of a carcass topping rubber is not less than −5 and not greater than 5.
