摘要: Biodegradable polymers with advantageous physical and chemical properties are described, as well as methods for making such polymers. In one embodiment, a new chemical synthesis route to technologically important biodegradable poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (P3HB) with high isotacticity and molecular weight required for a practical use is described. The new route can utilize racemic eight-membered cyclic diolide (rac-DL), meso-DL, or a rac-DL and meso-DL mixture, derived from bio-sourced dimethyl succinate, and enantiomeric (R,R)-DL and (S,S)-DL, optically resolved by metal-based catalysts. With a stereoselective racemic molecular catalyst, the ROP of rac-DL under ambient conditions produces rapidly P3HB with essentially perfect isotacticity ([mm]>99%), high crystallinity and melting temperature (Tm=171° C.), as well as high molecular weight and low dispersity (Mn=1.54×105 g/mol, Ð=1.01).

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a polyoxyalkylene polyester polyol by reacting a polyoxyalkylene polyol with a lactone in the presence of a Brønsted acid catalyst, wherein the catalyst has a pKa value of 1 or less; the number-average molar mass of the polyoxyalkylene polyol is ≥1000 g/mol, preferably ≥1500 g/mol, particularly preferably ≥2000 g/mol; and in the lactone a CH2 group is bonded to the ring oxygen. The invention further relates to polyoxyalkylene polyester polyols obtainable using the method according to the invention, and to a method for producing polyurethanes by reacting the polyoxyalkylene polyester polyols according to the invention with polyisocyanates.

摘要: A composition including a) 55-98.9 wt % of at least one type of triblock copolymer (A) of formula (1) R—B-A-B—R (1) b) 0.1-15 wt % of at least one surfactant (B) and c) 1-30 wt % of water, wherein A is a hydrophilic block having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 100-1,000 Da, B is a hydrophobic block made from monomers having at least a monomer B1 and a monomer B2, wherein B1 and B2 have the largest weight contents in the hydrophobic block and B1 has a lower molecular weight than B2, wherein R is an end group which is H or a C1-C30 organic moiety, wherein the composition is fluid in a temperature range of 0° C. to 37° C., wherein the weight % are relative to the sum of a), b) and c), and wherein the sum of components a), b) and c) is at least 80 wt % of the entire composition, preferably at least 90 wt %; to the use of the composition and to pharmaceutical composiitons having said composition and an active pharmaceutical ingredient.

摘要: A buttress assembly is configured to temporarily adhere to a wet surgical stapler end effector. The buttress assembly includes a buttress body and a humidity tolerant adhesive. The adhesive includes a bioabsorbable polymer having a block configuration selected from the group consisting of A-B-A and A-B-C. The A block is a bioabsorbable homopolymer characterized by a glass transition temperature of at least about 0° C., a crystallinity as measured by X-ray diffraction of at least about 30%, and a melting temperature of at least about 50° C. The B block is a bioabsorbable homopolymer or co-polymer that is characterized by a glass transition temperature of at least about −40° C., a crystallinity as measured by X-ray diffraction of at most about 25%, and 2 a molecular weight of from about 20 to about 80 kDa. The C block is a bioabsorbable hydrophilic homopolymer or co-polymer that is miscible with water at 37° C.
