    摘要: An intraocular lens (IOL) with a shape-changing optic is provided. The IOL includes an anterior face and/or a posterior face that is fabricated from a poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer having a durometer between about 30 Shore A to about 50 Shore A. A chamber is located between the anterior face and the posterior face and includes a silicone oil including diphenyl siloxane and dimethyl siloxane units. The silicone oil has a maximum viscosity of about 700 mm2/s at 25° C. and has a mean molecular weight of less than about 3,000 Daltons. An IOL is also provided that includes an anterior face and/or posterior face that is fabricated from a polysiloxane that is at least 99% poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer.

    摘要: A moisture-curable composition, including between 0.6 and 15.0 wt.-% of at least one organic polymer containing reactive silane groups, between 70 and 95 wt.-% of at least one filler, at least one dispersion additive, optionally at least one catalyst for the curing of silane-functional polymers and up to 10 wt.-% of at least one plasticizer, characterized in that said filler is selected from the list consisting of aluminium oxide, aluminium hydroxide, boron nitride, aluminium nitride, zinc oxide, silver, copper, aluminium, chalk, aluminosilicate, graphite, and any mixture of these fillers; with the proviso that the amount of chalk in the filler does not exceed 25 wt.-% of the total amount of filler. The moisture-curable composition shows excellent thermal conductivity and is particularly suitable as adhesive, gap filler, or sealant suitable for e-coat applications and battery bonding especially in electric automobile assembly.

The IOL includes: an elastic anterior face located anterior to the equator; a posterior face located posterior to the equator, wherein the anterior face, the posterior face, or both comprises a poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer having a durometer between about 20 Shore A to about 50 Shore A; and a chamber located between the anterior face and the posterior face comprising a silicone oil comprising polysiloxanes comprising diphenyl siloxane and dimethyl siloxane units, the silicone oil having a maximum viscosity of about 800 cSt at 25° C.

    摘要: In an illustrative example, one or more coating formulations may be used and may have characteristics useful in different situations. During evaluations, a plurality of coating formulations comprising epoxy resins and diamine hardeners were prepared and evaluated with regards to impact ice adhesion strength and durability. Alone, such coating formulations provided a significantly reduced impact ice adhesion strength as compared to uncoated aluminum and/or stainless steel surfaces. However, a durability of the coatings, when applied to aluminum or stainless steel surfaces, was insufficient to be considered for use on external aircraft surfaces. By including nano-sized and/or micro-sized particles as additives to the coating formulations, resulted in improved durability without significantly reducing ice adhesion performance of the resin base.
