摘要: In one aspect of the present invention, a method for manufacturing a bearing component includes: a preparation step of preparing a ring-shaped member of steel having a radially inner surface, a radially outer surface, and a thickness which is a distance between the radially inner surface and the radially outer surface; and a heat treatment step of performing a heat treatment to locally heat one of the radially inner surface and the radially outer surface to a heat treatment temperature and subsequently cool the one of the radially inner surface and the radially outer surface, the method satisfying S≥930/(0.3477 W2−1.594 W−0.804), where S represents an average temperature increasing rate (unit: ° C./sec) applied when the surface is heated and W represents the thickness (unit: mm).

摘要: In one embodiment, a method for manufacturing a pipe bend is disclosed, comprising: heating, with an induction coil, a first annular band of a wall of a first end portion of a moving pipe; directing quenching fluid toward an outer and inner surface of the first annular band; heating a second annular band of a wall of a bend portion of the moving pipe; directing the quenching fluid toward an outer and inner surface of the second annular band; decreasing a speed of the pipe while moving the induction coil from stationary and maintaining a relative speed between the pipe and the induction coil substantially constant; heating a third annular band of a wall of a second end portion of the pipe while moving the induction coil; and directing the quenching fluid toward an outer surface and an inner surface of the third annular band while moving the induction coil.

摘要: A system for producing components by hot forming includes a conductive post-furnace heat station, a furnace, a computer system, and a press. The computer system comprises one or more physical processors operatively connected with the furnace in and the conductive post-furnace heat station. The one or more physical processors being programmed with computer program instructions which, when executed cause the computer system to control the furnace to heat the blank to a temperature that is below AC3 temperature; and control the conductive post-furnace heat station to heat a portion of the heated blank to a temperature above the AC3 temperature by thermal conduction. The press is constructed and arranged to receive the post-heated blank from the post-furnace heat station and to form the post-heated blank into the shape of the component.

摘要: Embodiments are described herein of a bifurcated heat treatment apparatus and methods for localized heat treatment of a golf club hosel or golf club head. The heat treating method comprises a bifurcated process in which the golf club head is treated in the first heating unit via induction heating and then moved to the second heating unit for convection heating. Both steps are to localize the hosel heat treatment. The heat treatment apparatus may also include a cooling component, such as a heat sink, to ensure the body of the club head remains at the correct temperature during the second heating stage when the hosel is heated in isolation. The overall bifurcated method and apparatus of the localized heat treatment leads to a hosel or golf club head with at least two different hardness values to allow for manipulation of the material without cracking or fracturing.

摘要: A homogenization process for coiled tubing is provided. After being preheated in a sectional manner and quenched and tempered, laser-welded low-carbon alloy steel coiled tubing is spray cooled, and then is tempered to obtain homogeneous silvery coiled tubing. Microstructural uniformity of the silvery coiled tubing after the treatment is greatly improved in a welding seam region, a heat sensing region, and a tube wall, situations in which an outer surface of the coiled tubing is burnt and oxidized in the homogenization process are reduced, and a service life of the coiled tubing is prolonged. Moreover, homogeneous coiled tubing with different yield strengths and tensile strengths can be obtained by changing a temperature of the tempering, so that production costs are reduced.
