摘要: A batch-automated microfiltration press for producing large uniform thickness nanomaterial sheets includes a filtration envelope of variable size that is defined between an upper platen having a fixed position and a lower platen disposed in spaced apart, parallel relation to the upper platen. The upper platen has a plurality of input nozzles and a plurality of flow dispersers associated with each of the input nozzles. Nanoparticles are deposited onto a fine filter membrane positioned in the filtration envelope. Flow channels and drain holes are formed in the lower platen. Each of the flow channels has a non-linear path of travel. A closed-loop fluid control system maintains a predetermined rate of nanoparticle deposition onto the fine filter membrane. A motion control system controls the raising and the lowering of the lower platen, maintaining a constant displacement instead of constant pressure, enabling the production of clean, undamaged sheets of nanomaterial papers.

摘要: A pulp molding process and a paper-shaped article made thereby are provided. The pulp molding process comprises the steps of providing a composite having at least one fiber material, performing a pulp-dredging step including a first pre-compression forming step, performing a compression thermo-forming step, and performing an edge-cutting step for forming a paper-shaped article, wherein the composite comprises 20 to 99 parts by weight of a superior short fiber material for forming the paper-shaped article for eliminating the crosslinking effect. The paper-shaped article made by the pulp molding process comprises a cave having a transversal width of from 0.5 mm to 8 mm.

摘要: Stressed-skin panels are provided having internal open-cell grids molded from material such as fibers, and methods and apparatus for the production thereof are disclosed. The invention utilizes a porous screen having a plurality of elastomeric pads spaced apart thereon. Fiber dispersed in fluid is introduced into the apparatus and over and around the pads. Pressure exerted thereon expels fluid through the screen and consolidates the fibers to form a panel. The pads are designed and constructed in a manner so as to consolidate the fiber mat located below the pads compressed by the pressure, so that the finished panel includes an integrally-molded flange. The height, shape and/or spacing of the pads in the present invention advantageously provide improved mold release and greater resistance to compression set after repeated use. The pads provide greater consistency and improved quality in the flange formation on the panels.

摘要: The diaphragm of the electroacoustic transducer is made of a material in which fibers having at least two different radii taken out of wood are mixed together. Two mean radii A and B, among different mean radii of the fibers are set to satisfy the relationship: 0.5.times.A.ltoreq.B.ltoreq.0.5.times.A. By utilizing such a diaphragm, the balance of the density, rigidity, and internal loss of the diaphragm can be improved, and thus the acoustic characteristics of the electroacoustic transducer such as a speaker unit can be improved.

摘要: A method for the manufacture of products containing fibers of lignocellulosic material which involves the disintegration of a lignocellulosic material into fibers and forming and pressing of the fiber web into the product in question, which is preferably in the form of fiberboard (board products). The material that forms the fibers is impregnated with lignin in conjunction with water and at a pH which does not substantially exceed 12.5. When the lignin has been absorbed by the material it is fixed against leaching by water through the modification of said lignin into an essentially water-insoluble form.
