摘要: A scroll compressor includes an orbiting bedplate which has an oil passage through which oil flows outward in a radial direction of the orbiting bedplate, a lap-side oil supply hole that causes the oil passage to communicate with a lap-formation surface of the orbiting lap, and a thrust-surface-side oil supply hole that causes the oil passage to communicate with a thrust surface of the orbiting bedplate that is opposite to the lap-formation surface of the orbiting bedplate. An opening and closing mechanism provided in the oil passage closes the thrust-surface-side oil supply hole when the pressure of oil that is drawn from an oil sump by an oil pump and supplied into the oil passage is low, and opens the thrust-surface-side oil supply hole when the pressure of the oil is high.

摘要: A crescent member is disclosed which is configured to be in constant contact with outer and inner gear teeth to prevent unwanted fluid backflow between the gears. The crescent member may be part of a low-pressure fuel pump system for a diesel engine. In order to reduce heat buildup in the crescent member and gear teeth, the crescent member comprises a gap to allow fluid to flow within the crescent member to absorb and dissipate the heat generated by friction. The crescent member is resilient to maintain constant contact, but flexible enough to reduce wear from friction over time.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for pumps that deliver optimized torque characteristics and volumetric efficiency. A system includes a housing defining a surface and a rotor defining a face. A face clearance is defined between the face and the surface. The face clearance is variable in magnitude and determinative of target performance characteristics of the pump system. The housing is made of a material selected to have a thermal expansion characteristic and the rotor is made of a second material selected to have another thermal expansion characteristic. The thermal expansion characteristics deliver the target performance characteristics of the pump system.

摘要: A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. In a state in which the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll are concentric with each other, when a distance between the orbiting wrap and the fixed wrap is defined as an orbiting radius, there exists an offset section having an interval larger than the orbiting radius, between a side surface of the orbiting wrap and a side surface of the fixed wrap which faces the orbiting wrap. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is transformed due to thermal expansion, interference between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at a portion having a large transformation amount may be prevented. This may prevent a frictional loss or abrasion between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap. Further, this may restrict or minimize a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction chamber, resulting in enhanced compression efficiency.

摘要: A stator and a rotor are mounted inside a case of the permanent magnet motor, and separate the inner cavity of the case into a first inner cavity and a second inner cavity. Axial ventilation holes in communication with the first inner cavity and with the second inner cavity, are disposed in teeth of a stator core of the stator, and each axial ventilation hole is a taper hole extending in a height direction of each tooth. The width of one end of the axial ventilation hole, which is close to a head of the tooth, is greater than the width of the other end of the axial ventilation hole, which is close to a root of the tooth. The taper holes enable fluid to fully carry out exchange heat at the teeth where heat is generated most intensively.
