摘要: An electromechanical actuator package for actuating a brake assembly configured to operate a vehicle brake comprises: a motor; a differential operably connected to the motor, the differential comprising a pulley and an output connectable to the brake assembly; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the pulley of the differential, the locking mechanism comprising: a base configured to be movable, a plurality of projections projecting from the movable base, the projections comprising first and second projections, wherein at least a part of the pulley is positioned between the first and second projections projected from the movable base, an electromagnet assembly disposed adjacent to at least one of the projections, the electromagnet assembly operably associated with at least one of the projections, and one or more springs operably coupled to the movable base and/or at least one of the projections.

摘要: Provided are a wedge angle adjusting device and method. A device for adjusting a wedge angle of a variable wedge of an electro wedge brake (EWB) includes a movable wedge including an inclined surface and a counter wedge which includes an inclined surface disposed to face the inclined surface of the movable wedge and is disposed to face the movable wedge. The wedge angle adjusting device includes a frictional coefficient estimate unit configured to estimate a frictional coefficient between a pad and a disc of the EWB, a wedge angle command unit configured to calculate a wedge angle command value, based on a estimation of frictional coefficient estimated by the frictional coefficient estimate unit, and a wedge control unit configured to adjust the wedge angle according to the calculated wedge angle command value.

摘要: A self-energizing disc brake having an electric actuator in which an activation force applied to the actuator is amplified using a self-energizing device arranged between the actuator and brake lining is described. The device has a brake application unit for applying at least one brake lining to one side of a brake disc by carrying out an application movement of the brake lining relative to the brake disc, the application movement having at least a first movement component in a direction parallel to a rotational axis of the brake disc and a second movement component in a direction tangential to the rotational axis of the brake disc. The device also has at least one electromotive drive for activating the brake application unit.

摘要: In a brake- and/or clamping arrangement for a shaft supported in a device housing and comprising a braking disc mounted on the shaft rigidly for rotation therewith and a clamping ring supported in the device housing, the braking disc has a friction area comprising two truncated cone-shaped friction surfaces with at least one brake cone arranged in the device housing and one arranged on an activating member. One brake cone abuts during braking or clamping the brake disc whereas the other brake cone abuts a clamping ring, which is disposed between contact areas of the brake cones, the clamping ring in contact with the brake disc and a brake cone being mounted to the apparatus housing.

摘要: According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an EPB serving as an electrical parking brake in which a gear wheel and an external ring gear are arranged parallel to a driving gear rotating through a motor serving as the power source on a side surface, and fixed and output sun gears generating output torque are arranged to penetrate the external ring gear in a shaft direction via an internal ring gear and a planetary gear being in inner contact with the external ring gear, an overall length of a single body type housing with the motor is determined only by diameters of the driving gear, the gear wheel, and the external ring gear. Therefore, a power assembly converting the power of the motor driven by an ECU into the output torque is downsized so that a caliper mounted on a wheel presses a wheel disk.

摘要: A self-boosting electromechanical friction brake for a motor vehicle in which, with an electromechanical actuator, a friction brake lining can be pressed against a brake disk, and the friction brake lining is braced in the brake caliper via a wedge mechanism, which effects a self boosting. A friction brake lining which is pressed by the actuator has with a lower coefficient of friction, and in particular with less relative fluctuation in the coefficient of friction, than another friction brake lining positioned fixedly in the brake caliper. An operation-dictated fluctuation in the coefficient of friction and thus a change in the self boosting is reduced, and as a result the disk brake, with a low coefficient of friction, can be actuated with less actuation force and less actuation energy.
