摘要: A master clock signal for an image capture device and a light emission device is accessed. The master clock signal is divided to generate a high frequency clock signal. A frame timer is used to measure a frame time of the image capture device based on cycles of the high frequency clock signal. Based on an exposure timing signal from the image capture device, estimating an exposure start time for the image capture device; is estimated. Based on the estimated starting time, the light emission device begins emission of a positional tracking pattern at the estimated starting time and for a duration determined by the measured frame time of the image capture device.

摘要: A method for super-resolution photoacoustic microscopy of an object. The method includes optically exciting the object according to a plurality of excitation patterns utilizing a digital micromirror device (DMD), receiving a plurality of acoustic waves propagated from the object due to optically exciting the object, reconstructing each of a plurality of photoacoustic (PA) images from a respective acoustic wave of the plurality of acoustic waves, and obtaining a super-resolution PA image of the object from the plurality of PA images by applying a frequency domain reconstruction method to the plurality of PA images. Each of the plurality of acoustic waves are associated with a respective excitation pattern of the plurality of excitation patterns.

摘要: A new projector design combines one spatial light modulator that affects only the phase of the illumination, and one spatial light modulator that only affects its amplitude (intensity). The phase-only modulator curves the wavefront of light and acts as a pre-modulator for a conventional amplitude modulator. This approach works with both white light and laser illumination, generating a coarse image representation efficiently, thus enabling, within a single image frame, significantly elevated highlights as well as darker black levels while reducing the overall light source power requirements.
