    摘要: In a 120- or 220-size roll film, a leader of a light-shielding paper has at least a hole to be engaged with a claw formed in a slit of a spool core. A pair of ribs are formed on an opposite wall of the slit from the claw. The ribs have a height larger than a thickness of the light-shielding paper plus a distance from a peak of the claw to the opposite wall, so that the ribs urge the leader toward the claw, and let the hole be caught on the claw. The claw has side projections which protrude in an axial direction of the spool core in proximity to the peak of the claw. Guide surfaces of the claw which face entrances of the slit are inclined toward each other, such that the hole caught on the claw is guided to be engaged with the side projections upon the leader being relatively moved away from the slit when the spool is rotated.

    摘要: In accordance with one embodiment of the invention a composite support for an imaging element is described, which composite support comprises a polymeric film having coated thereon an electrically conductive layer and an auxiliary layer coated over the electrically conductive layer, wherein the polymeric film comprises a surface which has been activated by energetic treatment, and wherein the composite support further comprises an adhesion promoting layer comprising an aqueous dispersible, aliphatic, anionic polyurethane binder having an ultimate elongation to break of at least 350 percent either between the polymeric film and the electrically conductive layer or between the electrically conductive layer and the auxiliary layer, and the electrically conductive layer or adhesion promoting layer is in contiguous contact with the activated surface of the polymeric film. In accordance with a further embodiment of the invention, an imaging element for use in an image-forming process is described, which element comprises such a composite support and at least one image-forming layer. The invention provides composite supports and imaging elements containing an electrically conductive antistatic layer having excellent adhesion to energetic surface-treated polymer film supports, and of auxiliary layers to the electrically conductive antistatic layer.

    摘要: There is provided a silver halide photographic, black-and-white medical hard copy material, comprising an opaque reflecting polymeric support and at least one hydrophilic colloid outermost layer, characterized in that: (i) the material comprises a silver halide emulsion layer A and a silver halide emulsion layer B, coated on the same side of said support, the emulsion layer B being closest to said support and (ii) the silver halide emulsion layer A is faster than the silver halide emulsion layer B. Emulsion layer A is preferably between 1.25 and 3.20 times faster than emulsion layer B. A method is also provided for printing radiological images in combination with the protocol describing said radiological images onto a single sheet of hard-copy film.

    摘要: Camera film has a pre-exposed image longitudinally thereon and is thereupon packaged into a canister for insertion into a camera. The canister carries a flexible masking strip. When the canister is inserted into the camera, the masking strip is spread across the camera film plane opening. As the film is advanced across the film plane opening for successive exposures, the masking strip prevents individual frame exposure of the previously exposed image. A masking insert can be alternatively inserted into the camera to mask the film edge.
