    摘要: A method for adjusting one or more dimensions of a photomask subsequent to etching of a defective pattern in the chrome-containing layer thereof. The method includes subjecting the chrome-containing layer of a photomask to a wet etch process utilizing a solution comprising deionized water and ozone. The length of exposure is directly proportional to the degree of adjustment desired. That is, if a small adjustment in one or more dimensions of a photomask is desired, the photomask may be exposed to the deionized water and ozone solution for only a few moments, whereas if a much larger adjustment is necessary, the photomask may be exposed to the solution for several hours. Accordingly, the method of the present invention provides a way in which dimensions of a photomask may be adjusted by a small amount (e.g., a few angstroms) or more severely adjusted, for example, by 20-30 nanometers or more.

    摘要: A 120-type roll photo film has a photo filmstrip. Trailer and leader portions of backing paper project from respective ends of the photo filmstrip. The photo filmstrip is wound about a spool with the trailer and leader portions. A seal tape is previously secured to the trailer portion.The photo filmstrip, after being exposed, is wound with the trailer and leader portions in a form of a roll with the leader portion internally positioned. Then the seal tape is fitted on the roll for preventing the trailer portion from being unwound. In the seal tape, a support material has first and second ends and an intermediate portion. The support material is folded into three in a Z-shape along first and second fold lines located between the intermediate portion and each of the first and second ends. A first adhesive layer attaches the first end to the trailer portion. An auxiliary adhesive layer attaches the intermediate portion to the first end in a peelable manner. A second adhesive layer is overlaid on the second end, and confronts the intermediate portion. A release layer is overlaid on the intermediate portion, receives the second adhesive layer, and facilitates peeling of the second adhesive layer from the intermediate portion. When the second end is separated from the intermediate portion, the support material is unfolded. The second adhesive layer attaches the second end to the trailer portion.

A roll photo film producing apparatus includes a punch/die set, which has a trimming punch and a trimming die, and trims the rear end portion with a reduced width. A hole-forming punch and a hole-forming die are incorporated in the punch/die set, and cut a retaining hole through the rear end portion simultaneously with trimming of the rear end portion.

    摘要: A biaxially oriented film which is made substantially of (1) a polyethylene naphthalate copolymer comprising an ethylene naphthalate unit in an amount of 92 to 99.5 mol % based on all recurring units and at least one copolymer component selected from the group consisting of (a) a glycol having a fluorene skeleton in the molecule, (b) p-hydroxymethylbenzoic acid, (c) p-hydroxyethoxybenzoic acid and (d) p-hydroxyethoxyethoxybenzoic acid in an amount of 0.5 to 8 mol % based on the total of all dicarboxylic acid components, and which has (2) Young's moduli in both longitudinal and transverse directions of 500 kg/mm.sup.2 or more and (3) a delamination resistance of 10% or less in terms of fold line whitening ratio. Since this biaxially oriented film of the present invention is excellent in delamination resistance, curling resistance, mechanical strength, color and transparency, it is of great value as a base film for a photo film.

    摘要: A light-tight enclosure (10) for storing and dispensing a roll (12) of photosensitive web material (14) wound about a hollow cylindrical core (42) having open opposite ends (32, 34). The enclosure comprises a flexible opaque bag (16) with opposite sidewalls (18) extending between opposing rearward and forward portions (20, 22) and between opposing upper and lower portions (24, 26). Each sidewall has a central aperture (28, 30) therein congruent with each core end. The rearward portion defines a closable opening for receiving the roll. A shallow neck portion (36) projects from the forward portion to an end thereof defining an exit slot (40) for dispensing the web material. An annular ring (48) is light-tightly bonded to the inner surface of each sidewall congruent with the central apertures. Each ring has an annular flange (54) on its inner radial surface (56) which fits rotatably within a mating annular groove (47) in the outer surface of the core near the end of the core when the ring is fitted around the end of the core, providing thereby a light-lock between the rings and the core. Preferably, the outer diameter (44) of the core is reduced (46) near its ends to accommodate rings having substantially the same outer diameter as the central portion of the core. Preferably the core surface between the grooves and the ends of the core is formed into circumferentially alternating reliefs (62) and prominences (64) to facilitate installing the rings onto the core.
