In the ceramic structure, the first conductive structure and the second conductive structure are electrically connected to each other by an electrically conductive connection member capable of compensating for a vertical shrinkage rate of a ceramic sheet shape while being embedded therein when sintering the ceramic structure.

    摘要: A cassette assembly and a method of manufacturing fluorescent lamps using the cassette assembly are provided. The cassette assembly includes a housing defining a process chamber and having a plurality of holes in which glass tubes for the fluorescent lamps are inserted to communicate with the chamber, a carrying unit including two or more porous plates through which the glass tubes are fitted, a plurality of ring members disposed on the porous plates to preliminarily fix the glass tubes to the carrying unit by allowing the outer circumferences of the glass tubes to contact, and a locking unit for changing the glass tubes from the preliminary fixing status to a lockup status by varying contact pressure applied between the ring members and the glass tubes.

    摘要: A lamp is disclosed that comprises a lamp base with a stem, in which the stem comprises two leads. Free portions of the leads extend from the stem substantially parallel to each other and define a first plane. The lamp further comprises a translucent outer envelope and a halogen inner lamp light source having a pinched end. The pinched end defines a second plane, and it is located in the vicinity of the stem. The first plane defined by the free portions of the leads is substantially perpendicular to the second plane defined by the pinched end. A method for manufacturing such a lamp is also disclosed. The method comprises the step of attaching the inner lamp directly or indirectly to the stem. The step of attaching the inner lamp to the stem further comprises the step of positioning the pinched end of the inner lamp with the second plane substantially perpendicularly to the first plane.

    摘要: A method of making a display panel comprising a transparent rigid substrate and an electrode structure held against the rigid substrate by means of a flexible backing comprises the steps of sandwiching the electrode structure between the transparent rigid substrate and flexible backing, sealing the backing to the substrate and evacuating the atmosphere from the sealed sandwich structure. The atmospheric air pressure causes the flexible backing to uniformly press the electrode structure against the transparent rigid substrate. A suitable gas atmosphere and getter device is also disclosed.

    摘要: A multi-wire oxygen electrode and method of manufacturing the same, said electrode having a reactive electrode surface formed by a glass electrode tip having an end surface and a number of electrode wires are distributed in the end surface of the electrode tip along a circle. The cross-sectional surfaces of said electrode wires are freely exposed in such end surface and the electrode wires are fused in the electrode tip and electrically conductively connected with a cathode wire arranged in a glass sleeve. There is provided a substantially semi-spherical shaped support surface having an apex, said support surface being coaxially arranged with respect to the electrode tip, and said cathode wire being held in the electrode tip at the apex of the support surface. The electrode wires are electrically conductively secured at the cathode wire at the apex of the support surface, each electrode wire being guided through a substantially one-quarter arc over the support surface and then substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the electrode tip to its end surface.

    摘要: The method includes positioning a mask-frame assembly in predetermined spaced relation with the inner surface of a faceplate of a cathode-ray tube by means of at least four retractable spacing units. The spacing units are each extended a predetermined fixed distance, and the mask-frame assembly is mounted in the panel. Then the spacing units are retracted to allow the mask to be self-supporting in the panel, and the spacing between the mask and the face-plate is measured at discrete positions without removing the retracted spacing units.
