摘要: A waveguide display assembly includes a flat waveguide; a passage filter layer, which is divided into a plurality of area segments, which can be switched to light passage independently of each other; an image-generating unit, which is configured to generate different 2D images, each of which is intended only for one eye of a user for autostereoscopic 3D presentation, and to couple the 2D images into the waveguide in the form of collimated light beams, the propagation directions of which correspond to individual pixels; and a control unit, which is configured to control the image-generating unit and the passage filter layer such that only one or a subset of the area segments is switched to light passage at a time and, synchronously therewith, the image-generating unit generates only one image area segment of the 2D image intended for one eye of the user.

摘要: An image display device displays a stereoscopic image by using a parallax barrier method and includes a transmissive image display surface on which images of left-eye image data and right-eye image data are alternately displayed; an image forming unit including optical members having strip-shaped patterns with optical properties arranged on a surface located on a back surface side of the image display surface; and strip-shaped light sources arranged on an illumination arrangement surface, which is a surface located on a back surface side of the image forming unit, and configured to irradiate the image display surface with illumination light. A slit area of the parallax barrier method is formed by an image obtained by forming an image of the illumination light from the strip-shaped light sources on the back surface side of the image display surface by using the optical members of the image forming unit.

The 3D image rendering method includes determining optical images corresponding to both eyes of a user by applying, to each of the positions of the eyes, an optical transformation that is based on an optical characteristic of the catadioptric system, and rendering an image to be displayed on a display panel included in the 3D display apparatus, based on a position relationship between the optical images and the display panel.

摘要: A 3D display device and a method of driving the same are disclosed in the present disclosure. An electroluminescence display panel instead of a conventional backlight module is adopted to be arranged behind the liquid crystal display panel. In the 3D display mode, light emitting areas and black areas alternately arranged in both the row direction and the column direction are formed in the electroluminescent display panel, so that an abnormal grating structure is formed. In the 3D display mode, the first sub-pixels corresponding to the same light emitting area are controlled to display different gray level information so that the left and right eyes of a person located at two viewpoints receive an image of different gray level information. Therefore, stereoscopic vision is created and a naked-eye 3D display at the sub-pixel level is achieved.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a three-dimensional display device and a driving method thereof. In a previous frame of display time, one part of second sub-pixels in a liquid crystal display panel are controlled to display a left eye view, and the other part of second sub-pixels display a right eye view. In a next frame of display time, positions of light emitting areas and black areas in an electroluminescent display panel are interchanged, and the second sub-pixels that display the left eye view in the previous frame display the right eye view in the next frame, and the second sub-pixels that display the right eye view in the previous frame display the left eye view in the next frame. The sum of the previous frame and the next frame of display time is less than a predetermined maximum time.
