摘要: The system described herein implements synchronized playback of data related to an event. The system receives information that defines a type of event, as well as a time at which the event occurs. Moreover, the information defines an environment in which the event occurs. The system maps the type of event to data sources associated with the environment. Furthermore, the system maps the time at which the event occurs to a predefined timeframe that precedes and/or overlaps with the time at which the event occurs. The system retrieves respective datasets from the data sources and generates respective visualizations for the datasets. The system displays the visualizations in a layout and provides user controls that enable a user to implement synchronized playback of the event from the perspective of the data sources. For example, the synchronized playback can cycle through a sequence of data display states for the datasets.

摘要: Methods and systems are described for content delivery. A user of a first computing device that is playing back content may want to transfer or cast the content to a second computing device. When the first computing device receives the request to cast the content to the second computing device, the content may continue to be received and played back by the first computing device while it establishes a seamless transition to the second computing device. The first computing device may contact the content origin and send to the second computing device a manifest file that instructs the second computing device to request an initial portion of the segments of the content from the first computing device. The content origin may then process the cast request from the first computing device and begin providing subsequent segments of content to the second computing device.

摘要: A content delivery server is configured to receive a request for a chunk of a segment of a video stream, the segment of the video stream including a series of chunks, each of the chunks including a set of video frames, a first of the chunks being aligned with a first Instantaneous Decoder Refresh frame in the video stream, and a second of the chunks being aligned with a second subsequent Instantaneous Decoder Refresh frame in the video stream; determine whether the request was received during a first interval or a second subsequent interval of an intra period between the first of the chunks and the second of the chunks; and output the first of the chunks or the second of the chunks for transmission based on the determination of whether the request was received during the first interval or the second interval.

摘要: Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for sharing encoder output of video streams. In a particular embodiment, a method provides determining video profiles for each of a plurality of devices. The method further provides determining if two or more of the video profiles are similar by determining if parameters associated with each video profile differ by less than a threshold value. The method further provides transmitting a video stream encoded in a single format to the devices if they have similar profiles and transmitting video streams encoded in different formats to the devices if they do not have similar profiles.

摘要: Systems and methods for bandwidth-limited video transport are configured to receive (or otherwise discern) a selection of video parameter limits that correspond to a bandwidth limit and apply the video parameter limits to an input video stream to enforce the bandwidth limit while preserving video quality. Methods may include adjusting the video stream one parameter at a time until the adjusted video stream meets the bandwidth limit. Parameters to be adjusted may include image resolution, frame rate, image compression, color depth, bits per pixel, and/or color encoding. In some embodiments, the image resolution is reduced first, the frame rate is reduced next, and the image compression is increased last. The extent and/or order of the adjustments of the parameters may be selected by the user, based on the content of the video stream, and/or based on the bandwidth limit.

摘要: A source electronic device may include first interface circuitry that transmits a data packet over a wireless link to a sink electronic device to present the data packet as part of a video stream. The source electronic device may also include encoder circuitry that encodes the data packet for transmission through the wireless link and a feedback path communicatively coupling the encoder circuitry directly to the first interface circuitry. The feedback path may transmit one or more feedback signals from the first interface circuitry to the encoder circuitry, bypassing a network layer, an encoder driver, or both. The encoder circuitry, the first interface circuitry, or both may adjust one or more transmission parameters associated with transmitting the data packet over the wireless link, based on the one or more feedback signals.

摘要: For delivering an audio and/or video content using adaptive streaming from a cache server to a client device, the audio and/or video content being segmented into data segments available in various representations with respective audio and/or video qualities, the representations being time-aligned per segment, the segments being further divided into chunks, a method includes: obtaining a round-trip time value applicable between the cache server and the client device; computing a minimum bulk transfer size from the maximum average bitrate of the various representations of the audio and/or video content and from the obtained round-trip time value; computing a minimum bulk duration, with respect to the audio and/or video content, for the representation to be delivered to the client device; and delivering the audio and/or video content by burst transfers in the form of bulks of aggregated successive chunks for each segment in accordance with the computed minimum bulk duration.
