摘要: A disposable test cartridge to determine the concentration of one or more liver enzymes in a blood sample includes a cartridge body having a plurality of chambers where at least one of the chambers contains a reactant mixture that reacts when catalyzed by one of the liver enzymes ALT, AST, ALP, or GGT in a blood sample forming a reaction solution, a removable cartridge cover connected to the cartridge body, and a test strip module connected to the cartridge body. 摘要: Freshly obtained blood samples are deposited into a device that contains blood sample carriers, each of the carriers is designed to hold a fixed amount of blood and allow excess blood sample to flow through and be discarded. A desiccant within the blood sample carrier aids with the drying of the blood and the discarding of the excess sample blood. The device is stored/transported within a modified atmosphere package comprised of an impermeable sealable bag and an oxygen scavenger compound for removing oxygen from the bag.

摘要: A portable detection device in a smartphone cover with magnetic wireless communication protocol is described. The electrochemical detection device consists of electrochemical detection unit (e.g., potentiostat), digital building block (microcontroller) and wireless communication port that can be connected with mobile devices such as smartphones. (e.g., USB, Bluetooth, NFC, or magnetic communication protocol described herein). The electrochemical detection unit can connect to a chip that contains electrodes and a port for receiving fluid for point-of-care diagnostic application, heavy metal detection, glucose monitoring, and water and food quality testing. Digital building block processes the signal received from the detection unit and sends the signal out via communication port. The electronic device is encapsulated within smartphone cover. The wireless communication port described herein allows the data to travel wirelessly from the device to a host mobile device (e.g., smartphone) within a very short distance using magnetic field as communication medium.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to collecting, determining and/or transmitting information associated with the process of receiving bodily fluid through a device opening and/or delivering substances to a subject. In one aspect, the device includes an information collecting portion and a fluid receiving portion. In another aspect, the two portions are constructed and designed to attach to one another. In one embodiment, actuation of one of the portions causes the other portion to actuate. Methods of time keeping and information transmission are also discussed.
