Abstract: The closure for a bottle or like container having a vertical neck comprises a substantially cylindrical central portion (1) having a plurality of flexible outwardly facing flanges (2, 3, 4, 5) adapted to engage the neck of a bottle or like container and a central core (7, 9) adapted to receive a drinking straw or similar tubular drinking means.
