A coaxial cable compression connector includes a connector body 18 having a first end and a second end, and an internal passageway. The compression connector further includes a tubular post 16 having a first end configured for engagement with the conductive grounding sheath of the coaxial cable and a second end configured for engagement with the internal passageway of the body. The connector further includes a compression member 12. The first end of the compression member includes an outer surface and a tapered inner surface 22; the outer surface is configured for engagement with a portion of the internal passageway at the first end of the body. The connector further includes a ring member, which is configured for engagement with the tapered inner surface of the compression member.

The invention relates to a connection pole (2) for an accumulator (10). The connection pole (2) has an inner hollow region (27) which is designed for introducing or feeding a pole shaft (5) of the accumulator (10). The connection pole (2) has multiple ribs (3) on the inner wall (25, 26) in the inner hollow region (27), said ribs running in the longitudinal direction of the connection pole (2). One or more or all of the ribs (3) are formed as a single piece with the connection pole (2) from the material of the connection pole (2). The invention further relates to a pole shaft of an accumulator and to an accumulator.

A connector for coaxial cable is disclosed herein that has an outer body and a clamp insert. The clamp insert is mounted at the rear of the body and accepts an end of a coaxial cable. Both the front and rear ends of the insert are deformed radially inwardly when the body and the insert and compressed so as to grip the coaxial cable and form a seal. A related method for connecting the coaxial cable and connector is also disclosed.

A contact element (10) for an electrical connector or an integrated circuit which is used with a hold-down mechanism has a base portion (18), a spring portion (20) having at least partially helical spring elements, and a tapered contact portion (16) which mates in a biased manner with the conductive rim (22) of a hole (26). The contact element is particularly useful for surface mount applications. The spring portion is preferably arranged with a partially helical spring configuration so that compression of the spring also effects a torsional rotation of the contact portion. The contact element can be fabricated from: a flat sheet with punching, rolling, and/or forming operations, thin walled drawn parts, or modular parts.

Electrical connectors are provided with spring contact elements (220f) each having a tapered contact portion (221) for mating with the plated rim of a hole. The tapered contact portion can be configured as a bifurcated cone, a suitably shaped wire (421), or other tapered, flexible contact. Besides the contact portion, the contact elements also include spring portions (236f), which can assume various configurations and tail portions (323) which can also assume various configurations. Where the tapered contact portion is a suitably shaped wire (421), the spring portion and the contact portion are essentially the same. The tail portions can be arranged to have tapered contact portions where permanent connection of the tail is not desired. The disclosed electrical connectors have housings (230) for the spring contact elements (220f), and a first make, last break function can be provided by configuring the housings appropriately. The holes with which the tapered spring contact elements mate can be part of a printed circuit board (250), a flex circuit (350h), or other object.
