Abstract:
The agile information technology infrastructure management system and related methods and processes provide a solution with the required flexibility to effectively and efficiently monitor and manage a wide-variety of disparate information technology and network infrastructure deployed in businesses and enterprises throughout a region or the world.
Abstract:
A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for implementing a hybrid network. Orders for network capacity are issued based on a forecasted demand in order to develop a hybrid network. The hybrid network is analyzed to identify network problems. Then, the hybrid network is provisioned in accordance with the network problems and service requests. Usage of the hybrid network is determined and network usage control functions are initiated based on the determined usage.
Abstract:
A double firewalled system is disclosed for protecting remote enterprise servers (24) that provide communication services to telecommunication network customers (10) from unauthorized third parties. A first router (29a) directs all connection requests to one or more secure web servers (24), which may utilize a load balancer (45) to efficiently distribute the session connection load among a high number of authorized client users (10). On the network side of the web servers (24), a second router (29b) directs all connection requests to a dispatcher server (26), which routes application server calls to a proxy server for the application requested. A plurality of data security protocols are also employed. The protocols provide for an identification of the user (10) to ensure the user (10) is who he/she claims to be and a determination of entitlements that the user (10) may avail themselves of within the enterprise system. Session security is described, particularly as to the differences between a remote user's copper wire connection to a legacy system and a user's remote connection to the enterprise system over a "stateless" public Internet, where each session is a single transmission, rather than an interval of time between logon and logoff, as is customary in legacy systems.
Abstract:
A Web-based, integrated customer interface system (200) for data management. The customer interface system is provided with a graphical customer interface (79) for enabling a customer to interact with one or more products and services provided by remote servers located in an enterprise Intranet/Extranet, and utilizes a Web paradigm to allow easy and convenient access to all of the services from the customer's perspective. The products and services delivered to a client workstation having the integrated customer interface include: 1) report requestor (212), report viewer (215), and report management applications (250); 2) centralized inbox system (210, 270); 3) an operational data storage system (400); 4) a trouble ticket tool; 5) a Web-based invoice reporting system; 6) an Internet "online" order entry (280, 39) and administration service; and, 7) a system for handling security and authentication requests from both client and server side.

Abstract:
A system and method for opening and tracking trouble tickets over the public Internet. A customer service management system (40) provides information included within a customer profile record to a Web enabled infrastructure (30) which is accessible by a remote customer workstation (20) having a web browser (14) and Internet access (15). The customer profile information is used to prepopulate data fields in dialogs used to open a trouble ticket. Once a trouble ticket is opened, the customer workstation (20) tracks the existing trouble tickets through a browser based graphical user interface (240). The graphical user interface (240) provides current and historical status reports of the actions taken to resolve a network event and the service organizations responsible for resolving the network event.
Abstract:
Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for test simulation for software defined networking environments. A computing device (102) can receive a service request (122) comprising a request to instantiate a service (140) and create a service order (132) based on the service request (122). The service order (132) can include instructions to instantiate the service (140). The computing device (102) can replicate the service order (132) to obtain a replicated service (138) order that includes instructions to instantiate a replicated service (138) in a test environment (144), test paths and connections associated with the replicated service (138) within the test environment (144) using a test simulator (108), test device outage handling functionality of the replicated service (138) within the test environment (144) using the test simulator (108), test network (104) outage handling functionality of the replicated service (138) within the test environment (144) using the test simulator (108), verify the replicated service (138), and initiate instantiation of the service (140) requested by the service request (122).
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to output troubleshooting and/or setup information associated with a device from a server within the device. In embodiments, troubleshooting and/or setup information is output from within the device to a subscriber when the device detects that an issue or failure exists with the device's connection to a network. A data or service request received from a subscriber can be rerouted to a server within the receiving device, and troubleshooting and/or setup information can be output as a result.
Abstract:
A method includes receiving (702), at a fabric monitoring system (110), information identifying occurrences of events in an enterprise system having multiple computing or networking systems (102a-102n). The events occur on or involve computing or networking devices (104, 106) in the computing or networking systems, and the events are identified using rules accessible by the fabric monitoring system. The method also includes processing (704, 708), using the fabric monitoring system, the information in real-time to identify the occurrences of the events and to assign the events to multiple situations. The events are assigned to the situations using one or more processing models accessible by the fabric monitoring system. The method further includes outputting (710) information identifying the situations.
Abstract:
An alternate communications device is coupled to a broadband CPE in broadband customer premises equipment (CPE). The broadband CPE is coupled to a broadband communication network management device via a primary communication path. The alternate communications device is further coupled to the broadband communication network management device via an alternate communication path. The alternate communications device is to provide diagnostic and configuration information about a broadband connection to the broadband communication network management device via the alternate communication path when the broadband CPE is unable to provide such via the broadband connection. The broadband communication network management device is to perform analysis on this information. The alternate communications device is to receive from the broadband communication network management device, via the alternate communication path, new diagnostic information and new configuration information about the broadband connection responsive to the broadband communication network management device performing the analysis.
