Abstract:
In embodiments of the invention, comparing service plans based on a user's usage data may include collecting at least one of predicted and past service usage and reward earnings data for a user's current service using a computer implemented facility, analyzing the service usage and rewards earnings data to obtain a normalized service usage and rewards dataset, normalizing data related to a plurality of alternative service offerings according to a normalized alternative service offering model, applying the normalized alternative service offering model to the normalized service usage and rewards dataset to produce a plurality of alternative service offering normalized datasets and comparing the alternative service offering normalized datasets to the normalized usage dataset according to at least one element of the datasets to determine if an alternative service offering is better than the user's current service. Related user interfaces, applications, and computer program products are disclosed.
Abstract:
A real-time, cost-per-unit-time billing rate is determined for an in-progress telephone call of a wireless telephone. The real-time, cost-per-unit-time billing rate is displayed on a display of the wireless telephone during the in-progress telephone call.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method and system adapted for use in a mobile telecommunication network is described. The invention describes a rating and routing system which is adapted to enable an efficient rating and routing of data transactions being transmitted through a network. Based on a comparison of identifiers associatable with a subscriber to the network, with a set of parameters defined for data transactions, the system of the present invention is adapted to enable an accurate assessment and allocation of the correct rating tariff value to a specific transaction and the routing of that rated value to an appropriate destination defined for the user.
Abstract:
An information service for management of relations is shown which has a descriptive role and an operative, that is influencing/activating, role as value added to services which are utilized by acting parties in a digital communication network. The information service for management of relations can be ordered via a service from an administrative system or a telecommunication system and has possibility to take the role as relation creator and can there, for instance, make agreements about the service before it is forwarded between an acting party which provides the service the acting party which utilizes the service.
Abstract:
Methods are disclosed for providing prepaid telephony service via an Internet protocol (IP) network system. A first method provides controlling at least one media agent or call routing station/switch of an IP network system for allowing and/or blocking call media streams from traversing through the media agent. A second method provides directing all signaling messages transmitted by a signaling agent or station and all media packets transmitting voice and data communications through at least one common device within the IP network system. The methods further provide for continuously monitoring a subscriber's account balance and terminating the prepaid telephony service if the account balance is less than a predetermined amount.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile communication system comprising at least subscriber terminal A (MSA1, MSA2) and subscriber terminal B (MSB) which both comprise means for establishing a direct channel connection, and a mobile communication network comprising a billing unit (22). Subscriber terminal A (MSA1, MSA2) comprises means for collecting charging information during the direct channel connection and means for forwarding the collected information, and the billing unit (22) is arranged to receive the charging information transmitted by subscriber terminal A (MSA1, MSA2).
Abstract:
The above objects can be attained by a system that creates system-created events at an optimal time independant of the billing process, and performs a continuous pricing process so that as events become available to the system they can be priced and summarized in real-time, allowing the billing process to be performed more efficiently. Usage and one-time events become available for pricing as soon as they are delivered to the system. System-created events, such as recurring, minimum charge summary, and maximun charge summary events, are created by the system based on a schedule defined by a subscription to which a costumer has subscribed. Charges for events are re-calculated, if necessary, when information in the system, which impacts the charge of an event, changes. On demand pricing is performed when a charge for summary event, such as, a tiered discount plan summary, minimum charge summary, or maximum charge summary, is to be displayed or billed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement for providing prepaid calls or services for a user of a telephone. Th arrangement comprises a prepaid calling service and a telephone terminal enabling an access to the prepaid calling service. In addition, means for providing the user with an individual code and an account dedicated for the individual code are used. The communications network apparatus includes means for triggering the call to a desired destination, means for dynamically charging the costs for the call from the account, and means for informing during the call dynamically the user of the remaining calling time on the basis of the balance remaining in the account and the costs for the call and/or of the remaining balance in the account.
