Abstract:
The invention relates to optical data media which contain at least one light-adsorbing component in the form of a Co (III) phalocyanin in the information layer thereof. The metallic centre of Co has an axial substituent R 1 and an axial ligand R 2 provided with a co-ordination bond. R 1 is CN, SCN, halogen, inter linea Cl, Br or F, alkoxy, aryloxy, arythio or alkylthio, and R 2 is not a ligand or is an eventually substituted amine, water, alcohol, H 2 S thioalcohol or isonitrile.
Abstract:
Disclosed are novel metal complexes for an optical data carrier comprising a preferably transparent substrate which is optionally coated with one or several reflection layers, and to the surface of which an information layer that is writable by means of light, one or several optional refection layers, and an optional protective layer or another substrate or a covering layer are applied. Said data carrier is writable and readable by means of blue light or red light, preferably laser light. The information layer is provided with a light-absorbing compound and an optional bonding agent. The invention is characterized by the fact that at least said metal complex is used as a light-absorbing compound.

Optical data medium containing, in the information layer, a dye as a light-absorbing compoundA b s t r a c tOptical data medium containing a preferably transparent substrate which is optionally already coated with one or more barrier layers and on the surface of which an information layer which can be recorded on using light, optionally one or more barrier layers, and a cover layer containing a radiation-cured resin, have been applied, which data medium can be recorded on and read using focused blue light through the cover layer on the information layer, preferably laser light with the wavelength between 360 nm and 460 nm, the information layer containing a light-absorbing characterized in that at least one dye is used as the light-absorbing compound wherein the cover layer does have a total thickness of 10 microm to 177 (m and the numerical aperture NA of the focusing objective lens setup is greater or equal 0.8.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing the alkoxy-substituted metalliferous phthalocyanins of formula (I), wherein R represents an optionally substituted alkyl or cycloalkyl, M represents a bivalent metal atom, metalloxy, or a trivalent or tetravalent substituted metal atom. The inventive method is characterized by reacting the phthalodinitril of formula (II) in the presence of a metal salt and a base in a water-miscible solvent.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel metal complexes for optical data carriers, whereby the latter is preferably a transparent substrate which is, optionally already covered with one or several reflective layers. A light-inscriptible information layer is disposed on the surface thereof, in addition to, optionally, one or several reflective layers and, optionally, a protective layer or another substrate or a covering layer which is inscriptible or readable with blue, red or infrared light, preferably laser light. The information layer contains a light-absorbing compound and, optionally, a binding agent. The invention is characterised in that the at least said metal complex is used as a light-absorbing compound.
