Abstract:
A method of order allocation, including the steps of receiving an incoming order, establishing a quantity cap related to a quantity of lots and if the plurality of lots associated with the received at least one order is less than or equal to the quantity cap, designating at least a portion of the plurality of lots as a priority portion, allocating the priority portion with a first allocation algorithm, and allocating any remaining portions with a second allocation algorithms, utilizing algorithms such as FIFO and pro-rata algorithms
Abstract:
A pipe insulating section (1) comprises a generally cylindrical hollow phenolic foam body (2) of substantially uniform cross section with an inner facing web (3) and an outer facing web (4). The phenolic foam body (2) is slit longitudinally to provide section halves which can be opened to facilitate wrapping around a pipe to insulate the pipe. The section halves are linked by the outer web (4) at one side and facing ends of the section halves at the other end are faced with the inner facing web (3). The inner web (3) may be of paper and the other web (4) may be of an aluminum foil. An apparatus used in manufacturing the elongate shaped phenolic section comprises an outer mould (10) for forming the outer facing (4) into a cylindrical shape and an inner mandrel (11) for forming the inner facing (3) into a cylindrical shape, which is of smaller diameter than that of the cylinder defined by the outer facing (4). The facings (3, 4) define a hollow core therebetween into which liquid foam reactants (20) are injected through an injector (25).
Abstract:
A method of order allocation is disclosed. The method includes receiving an incoming order, establishing an inner market representing a first portion of an order book which may be defined as a function of an inner market parameter, designating the first portion of the order book as a priority and allocating the first portion of the received incoming order based on the priority, establishing an outer market that represents a second portion of the order book that includes the remainder of the order book not represented by the inner market of the order book, assigning the received incoming order to one of the inner or outer markets as a function of the inner market parameter, allocating a first portion of the incoming order to the inner market utilizing a first-in, first-out (FIFO) algorithm, and allocating a second portion, in excess of the first portion, of the incoming order to the outer market using a pro-rata algorithm.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an end stabilized backing plate for an extended length brake shoe for use in a railway braking system. The backing plate includes an elongated main portion extending along a longitudinal axis. This main portion has a front face, a back face, a first end portion and an opposed second end portion. A first and second pair of tab members are provided on each of the first and second end portions. These tab members extend in a substantially perpendicular direction with respect to the main body and function to stabilize the end portions of the extended length brake shoe which extend beyond the length of a brake head and reduce and/or eliminate cracking of these end portions of the brake shoe. A method of stabilizing end portions of an extended length brake shoe is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A system and method that provides a message engine to facilitate intra-day receiving of first data relative to the trade transaction on behalf of one party to the trade transaction, wherein the first data include a code identifying an opposing party to the transaction; sending a message to the designated opposing party prior to submitting the trade transaction for matching prior to end-of-day clearing; and monitoring a message queue for a response and sending a message to at least one of the parties based on the response.

Abstract:
A system and method that provides intra-day confirmation of non-anonymous trade transactions made at an exchange includes the entry into a computer system of first data relative to the trade transaction on behalf of one party to the trade transaction, wherein the first data include a code identifying an opposing party to the transaction. A message is sent to the designated opposing party prior to submitting the trade transaction for matching prior to end-of-day clearing. The trade transaction is matched to second data relative to the trade transaction entered into the system based on identity between certain elements of the first data and the second data, and a confirmation is sent to at least one of the parties to the trade transaction.
Abstract:
A phenolic foam mixture for producing a substantially closed cell phenolic foam comprises a phenolic resin, a polysiloxane copolymer used as a surfactant, a blowing agent, and a catalyst (polymerization initiator), the polysiloxane copolymer having a polysiloxane content of from 25% to 35% by weight, a polyethylene oxide content of from 50% to 55% by weight and a polypropylene oxide content of from 15% to 20% by weight.

Abstract:
A circular internal combustion engine (10) includes a torque shaft (14), a central cam (18) connected to the torque shaft, a stationary middle ring (24) located about the central cam, and, an exhaust ring assembly (28) located about the middle ring and connected to the torque shaft and the central cam. The middle ring provides stationary support for power chambers (30) located between the central cam and the exhaust ring. Power shuttle assemblies utilize thermal energy from the power chambers to apply leverage on surfaces of the central cam and exhaust ring to provide rotational force.
