Abstract An object of the invention is to provide a process for industrially producing fluorinated dicyanobenzenes using tetrachlorodicyanobenzene as a raw material. According to the present invention, fluorinated dicyanobenzene can be produced in a high yield by allowing tetrachlorodicyanobenzenes to react with a fluorinating agent in the presence of a non-protonic polar solvent in an amount of 0.1 to 3 times by mass based on the tetrachlorodicyanobenzene. Further, the above production can be conducted more efficiently by reacting while disintegrating or removing bulk solid matters.

An IT-62-B substance represented by formula (1), a process for producing the same, a medicinal composition containing the same as the active ingredient, and a method of treating bacterium-induced infectious diseases and tumors by administering the same. The compound has antibacterial activities against gram-positive bacteria and part of gram-negative bacteria and also has an excellent antitumor activity against, for example, human nasopharyngeal cancer, thus being useful as a medicine.

A method of correcting the warping of a two-layer clad metal plate consisting of a parent member and a laminated member, in which the hot-correcting of the two-layer clad metal plate is done by cooling one of the metals that has a higher thermal contraction coefficient more intensely than the other metal that has a lower thermal contraction coefficient before or during the hot-correcting of the clad metal plate, to cause the following temperature difference DELTAT, DELTAT = f(DELTAalpha, alpha, a, TO), wherein DELTAalpha is a difference between the coefficients of linear expansion of the two metals, a_ a clad ratio (thickness of the laminated member/total length of the plate), TO a hot-correcting temperature (oC) at the inlet side), and alpha an average of the coefficients of linear expansion of the two metals, to occur. Accordingly, the layer of metal of a higher thermal contraction coefficient of the two layer clad metal plate is cooled forcibly to be brought into a required and suitable condition. Therefore, various kinds of two-layer clad metal plates can be corrected to be flat reliably at normal temperature.

The screen includes a first film for transmitting image light incoming from the projector and a second film for transmitting the image light transmitted through the first film. A pattern for refracting or reflecting the image light toward the second film is formed on a light entrance face of the first film receiving the image light. The incident angle of the image light entering the first film is not less than 20 degrees.

This relates to an ionization type of smoke sensor for a fire alarm, and in particular to an ionization type of smoke sensor in which an internal ion chamber (a) consists of an inner electrode (6) and an intermediate electrode (8), and an outer ion chamber (b) consists of the intermediate electrode (8) and an outer electrode (11), these chambers (a, b) ionizing the air within them by a radiation source (3). In the ionization smoke sensor of this type according to this invention, the radiation source is difficult to contaminate. When smoke is actually applied during an operating test, in order that the smoke can diffuse immediately after the test and the operation can recover readily, the source (3) is surrounded by the inner electrode (6), a substrate (1), and a ring wall (2), the intermediate electrode (8) is supported by a plurality of posts (9) extending from the substrate (1), and holes (7, 10) are formed in the electrodes (6) and (8) so that the radiation from the source (3) can be emitted through the holes (7, 10) to the chambers (a, b).

The microphone elements, which are unidirectional, are arranged at substantially regular intervals in such a manner that they all have planes of incidence toward a source of sound. This microphone device shows sharp directivity in middle range of frequency required by the input means of a voice recognizing device and high sensitivity against voice inputs from the front, while minimizing the level of noises from sides.
