摘要: A chordal replacement device comprising: a proximal anchor (3910), a distal anchor (3915) extending and affixed to a distal attachment site in a ventricle; and a flexible tether (3920) coupled to and tensioned between the proximal and distal anchors, wherein the proximal anchor may comprise a flexible crimp clip having one or more barbs that embed into and affix to a portion of a leaflet (LF) or a flexible patch and a leaflet attachment device, wherein the flexible patch is affixed to an upper surface of a portion of a flailing leaflet with the leaflet attachment device. The proximal anchor may also comprise a mesh stent deployable within an atrium, wherein the mesh stent is coupled to a flexible rod that extends through a valve commissure into the ventricle and wherein a distal end of a flexible rod couples to a distal anchor and provides consistent tension on the tether during a heart cycle.

摘要: Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices for the endovascular repair of cardiac valves, particularly the atrioventricular valves which inhibit back flow of blood from a heart ventricle during contraction. The procedures described herein can be performed with interventional tools, guides and supporting catheters and other equipment introduced to the heart chambers from the patient's arterial or venous vasculature remote from the heart. The interventional tools and other equipment may be introduced percutaneously or may be introduced via a surgical cut down, and then advanced from the remote access site through the vasculature until they reach the heart.

摘要: An integrated surgical tool system (30) for energizing different powered surgical handpieces (32, 33). Internal to each handpiece is a non-volatile memory (72) which stores data regarding the operating parameters of the handpiece. This data includes information about the speeds at which any motor internal to the handpiece should be driven, the maximum current that should be drawn by the handpiece and the maximum internal temperature of the handpiece. The handpiece is plugged into a complementary control console (36). The control console reads the data in the internal memory. Based on the retrieved data and manual control signals, the control console supplies energization signals to the handpiece so as to cause the appropriate actuation of the handpiece.

摘要: The invention provides devices, systems and methods for tissue approximation and repair at treatment sites. The devices, systems and methods of the invention will find use in a variety of therapeutic procedures, including endovascular, minimally-invasive, and open surgical procedures, and can be used in various anatomical regions, including the abdomen, thorax, cardiovascular system, heart, intestinal tract, stomach, urinary tract, bladder, lung, and other organs, vessels, and tissues. The invention is particularly useful in those procedures requiring minimally-invasive or endovascular access to remote tissue locations, where the instruments utilized must negotiate long, narrow, and tortuous pathways to the treatment site. In addition, many of the devices and systems of the invention are adapted to be reversible and removable from the patient at any point without interference with or trauma to internal tissues.
