    摘要: A system for facilitating fluid connection between cannulae and a blood pump. The system includes a cannula (52) having a distal end (66) adapted to be in fluid communication with the circulatory system and a proximal end (68) configured to couple to an inlet (82) of the blood pump (54). Further included is a tunneling device (84) configured to be inserted into a body of a patient to direct the proximal end (56) of a cannula (50) adjacent to the inlet (82) and including a connecting structure (90). Further included is a plug (224) which has a first plug part (230) and a second plug part (232). The first plug part (230) includes a connecting structure (92), the connecting structures (90, 92) being selectively engageable. The second plug part (232) is configured to be inserted in the proximal end of the cannula (50). The first and second plug parts (230, 232) are selectively disengageable to allow in situ disconnection between the cannula (50) and tunneling device (84).
