Abstract:
A linear gate drive assembly with a drive rail (3) connectable to a gate panel. The drive rail has a first drive surface (3). A linear drive portion (4) is coupled to the drive rail and has teeth thereon with a first rolling tooth profile. The linear drive portion (4) defines a toothed second drive surface. Drive motors are pivotally coupled to a support structure (2). A first drive wheel (6) is attached to one drive motor and engages the first drive surface (3) to impart an axial drive force on the drive rail. A second drive wheel (5) is attached to another drive motor and engages the second drive surface (4). The second drive wheel (5) has second teeth that mate with the first teeth and that define a second rolling tooth profile that substantially corresponds to the first rolling tooth profile. Rotation of the second drive wheel (5) imparts axial and normal forces via a rolling teeth interface the mating teeth for moving the drive rail and the gate panel.

An automated coupling mechanism for sliding doors that are movably mounted upon a storage unit. The coupling mechanism may comprise a rotating mechanism comprising a rotating member, and connecting unit. The storage unit may comprise at least one outer sliding door and at least one inner sliding door comprising an upper track, where the connecting unit connect the rotating mechanism to the outer sliding door. The rotating member and the track may be made from material of substantially high friction coefficient to enable the rotating member to move the inner sliding door along the track when rotated. The connecting unit, which are connect the rotating mechanism to the outer sliding door, may enable the outer sliding door to move in the opposite direction of the inner sliding door, whereby the inner sliding door is moved by the rotating mechanism as a physical counteraction.

An apparatus for moving sliding gates that slide on two or more bottom idler wheels along a guide rail comprises, in combination: mobile movement means, designed to slide fixedly with respect to the gate itself on a slide guide, remaining adherent thereto during the displacement of the gate from the opening position to the closing position and vice versa, as well as electronic means for detecting the position of the gate both when it is moving and when it is stationary and for interrupting the motion of the gate in the case of obstacles present on the opening/closing path of the gate itself.
