Abstract:
Abstract:
A dual orientation plug connector having a connector tab with first and second major opposing sides and a plurality of electrical contacts carried by the connector tab. The plurality of contacts may include a first set of external contacts formed at the first major side and a second set of external contacts formed at the second major side. The first plurality of contacts may be symmetrically spaced with the second plurality of contacts and the connector tab may be shaped to have 180 degree symmetry so that it can be inserted and operatively coupled to a corresponding receptacle connector in either of two insertion orientations. A receptacle connector corresponding to the plug connector.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention concerns an electrical connector (1) comprising a box (2), at least one electrically conductive track (7, 9, 10, 11) and a plurality of first electrical contacts (8), the first contacts being designed to come into contact with complementary second electrical contacts (20) of a complementary connection device (5). In order to reduce the manufacturing cost of such an electrical connector and increase the electronic data transfer capacity through this electrical connector, the invention provides that the first electrical contacts are connected to electrically conductive tracks by joining, and that the box is formed by at least one molded plastic that is at least partially metal-coated to form the electrically conductive tracks.
Abstract:
A connector assembly comprising: - a first connector comprising a first locking feature (22); - a second connector comprising a second locking feature (31) cooperating with the first locking feature (22); a mating detection device (1) adapted to take a first electrical state when the first and second connectors are in a locked state; the mating detection device is mechanically prevented from taking the first state until the first and second locking features (22, 31) lock said first and second connectors together.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a conductive -material - saving electrical contact for electrical plugs and sockets for industrial and/or tertiary use characterised by comprising at least one core support (30, 30') made from sturdy material, and a cover sleeve (20) supported by said core (30, 30') and made from conductive material, said core (30, 30') and said sleeve (20) being joined so as to form a single body (10, 10') .
Abstract:
An improved moisture impervious connector utilizes a molded body portion that has conductive terminals plated thereon in order not to create any spaces within any sort of terminal-receiving cavities. A flexible sealing member is supported by the body portion crosswise to the terminals to provide a seal to the connector for an opening into which it is inserted.
Abstract:
This invention involves unique electroplated items comprising electrically conductive polymers. In addition, continuous production of electrically treated items is facilitated using electrically conductive resins. Many embodiments employ directly electroplateable resins for particular advantage. Unique methods of establishing electroplated electrical connections are taught.
