A feed mechanism (300) for a terminal crimping machine including a feed track (302) and a strip locator 304). The feed track (302) has a top plate (310) and a side wall (312). The top plate extends from a front (306) of the feed track to a rear (308) of the feed track. The top plate is configured to receive thereon a terminal strip (320) having a plurality of terminals (322) arranged along a carrier strip (324). The terminal strip is configured to be moved from the rear to the front towards a crimping zone of the terminal crimping machine. The side wall has a fixed edge (336) above the top plate. The strip locator is coupled to the feed track and has a rail movably coupled to a support wall. The support wall is fixed relative to the feed track. The rail is biased against the terminal strip to force the terminal strip against the fixed edge of the side wall.

A workstation (200) and method (800) for the installation of a pulling head assembly (100) onto one or more conductors (102) of a cabling system are provided. The workstation (200) incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp (202) that holds the conductors (102) of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly (100); a cutting guide (204) having indicia marks (504) that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors (102) in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes (104) attached to the conductors (102) in the pulling head assembly (100); a stripping tool (206) that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor (102) so that the end of the conductor (102) may be inserted into the pulling eye (104); and a crimping tool (208) that is used to crimp the pulling eyes (104) onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors (102).

A press frame for attaching connectors to workpieces such as cables and pipes is described. The press frame is adapted to be releasably attached to a hand-held, battery powered press tool. The press frame includes selectively interchangeable components that enable a wide range of different styles, sizes, and configurations of electrical connectors to be attached to cables.

A terminal feed mechanism (16) is provided for an applicator (10) for attaching terminals (198) to electrical conductors. The feed mechanism (16) includes first, second, and third pivoting links (34, 36, 38), the first and second of which are pivotally coupled by means of gear teeth (52, 54). The second and third links (36, 38) are coupled by an adjustable slide member (84) that is in sliding engagement with the third link (38). The position of the slide member with respect to the third link governs the length of the feed stroke. A feed finger (170) that engages and advances the strip (196) of terminals (198) is carried by another adjusting mechanism (46) that independently controls the feed end point of the feed finger (170).

Arrangement for the manufacture of a multilayer consisting of individual layers (2, 9, 11) which are individually provided with a printed wire pattern applied by a dispenser (4), the required holes having been made by a perforator (5). The arrangement manipulates the individual layers such that the desired multilayer is obtained automatically. Because the dispenser (4) and the perforator (5) are positioned one over the other, a compact high-accuracy arrangement is obtained. The arrangement is particularly suitable for processing layers of green ceramic.

An apparatus for wiring a connector (1), in particular a connector with a plurality of contacts (2) of the IDC-type, comprises a holder (3) for the connector to be wired, at each side of the holder a tool (5) movable back and forth transverse to the holder for applying a wire (10) into a contact aligned with the tool, wherein a wire guiding means (6) is provided for each tool aligned with the same and means for moving the tools with respect to the holder in the longitudinal direction of the holder. Further, wire selection means (12) are provided for separating and delivering the wires to be connected one by one, a gripper (17) for supplying a delivered wire to a wire guiding means, means (20) for moving the gripper in the x-, y- and z-directions and a processing unit (21) adapted to identify a separated wire and to control the wire selection means, the gripper moving means, the tool moving means and to operate the tools in dependance on the identified wire.

The present invention relates to pliers for manipulating wires and a method and device for fabricating electric wiring harness by using said pliers. According to the invention, the pliers are comprised of at least one sweeping arm (10) and an internal hinged arm (11) which are capable of gathering the wire extremities inserted in the pockets of a component, and the pliers are comprised of two articulated external arms which may gather the wires in a remote region of the component, said pliers beind displaceable on a guide (9). The technical field of the invention is the fabrication of electric wiring harness.

According to the present invention, an apparatus for filling a wafer via with a solder and having a pressure unit comprises: a solder bath which contains molten solder therein, which has an accommodation space with an open top, and which has an outlet portion formed at one side thereof in order to discharge air from the accommodation space; a fixing unit which fixes a wafer having a via formed on one surface thereof in said accommodation space so as to seal the accommodation space; and a pressure unit which presses the molten solder contained in the solder bath from the bottom so as to cause the molten solder to flow upwardly such that the molten solder fills into the via. Further, when in an apparatus for filling a wafer having a through-via with solder, the fixing unit provides a suction force to an upper surface of the wafer and fixes the wafer in the accommodation space, and the pressure unit presses the molten solder contained in the solder bath from the bottom so as to cause the molten solder to flow upwardly such that the molten soldier fills the via with the aid of the suction force of the fixing unit.
