Abstract: A method for preparing rigid polyurethane (PUR) foams or rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) foams in which method the rigid PUR or PIR foam is prepared by reacting a composition (C) comprising: at least one isocyanate-reactive component (B1) having functional groups selected from hydroxyl, amine and thiol groups; at least one isocyanate component (A1) having an average functionality of less than 2.70; and at least one blowing agent [blowing agent (BA), herein after]; with the proviso that the overall average functionality [Fn,avg(A), herein after] of all isocyanate components present in the composition (C) is less than 2.70; wherein the composition (C) is characterized by an isocyanate index X, wherein the rigid PUR or PIR foams are produced by depositing the composition (C) between two gas-tight facing sheets and wherein the rigid PUR or PIR foam is characterized by a difference Δλ between the initial thermal conductivity value λini and the aged thermal conductivity value λaged of said rigid PUR or PIR foam wherein: when X ≤ 200 then Δλ 200 then Δλ

Abstract: A dual-reinforced construction board is disclosed comprising a core having an upper surface and an opposing lower surface, a first reinforced fibrous facer adhered to the upper surface of the core and a second fibrous facer adhered to the lower surface of the core. Each of the first and second fibrous facer comprise a non-woven mat coated on a first surface with a coating composition. The first fibrous facer and optionally the second fibrous facer further include a reinforcement layer adhered to at least a portion of the first surface of the non-woven mat. The dual-reinforced construction board has a fastener pull-through strength of at least 400 lbf.

Abstract: Disclosed is a polyolefin composition comprising: (A) 10-40% by weight of a copolymer of propylene with hexene-1 comprising 1.0-6.0% by weight, based on the weight of (A), of units deriving from hexene-1 and having melt flow rate (MFRA) measured according to ISO 1133, 230°C, 2.16 kg ranging from 20 to 60 g/10 min.; and (B) 60-90% by weight of a copolymer of propylene with at least one alpha-olefin of formula CH2=CHR, and optionally a diene, where R is H or a linear or branched C2-C8 alkyl and wherein the copolymer comprises 20-35% by weight, based on the total weight of (B), of alpha-olefin, wherein the polyolefin composition comprises an amount of fraction soluble in xylene (XS(tot)) at 25°C equal to or higher than 65% by weight, the amounts of (A), (B) and XS(tot) being based on the total weight of (A)+(B). The polyolefin composition finds use in roofing application and in the productions of geomembranes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to production method of a low-density thermal insulation board (1) which has mineral-based core and surfaces of which are coated with a gauze or net-like coating material (3, 4), and thermal insulation boards (1) which are produced by this method. It is possible by means of the inventive method to produce thermal insulation boards (1) such as an A1 class non-combustible thermal insulation board or an A1 class non-combustible insulated roof board without the need for using high-cost coating technique which is frequently used in the prior art, by shaping the expanded perlite between the lower coating material (3) or the upper coating material (4) on a belt conveyor (C) via organic binders continuously in an economic way.
