A boat protection system comprises a hub system and at least one auxiliary module. The hub system comprises a hub housing defining at least one hub guide portion, at least one hub electrical connector supported by the hub housing, and a DC bus operatively connected to the at least one hub electrical connector. The at least one auxiliary module comprises an auxiliary housing defining at least one auxiliary guide portion, at least one auxiliary electrical connector supported by the auxiliary housing, and at least one functional component. At least one hub guide portion engages at least one auxiliary guide portion to support at least auxiliary housing relative to the hub housing such that at least one hub electrical connector engages at least one auxiliary electrical connector. The at least one functional component of the at least one auxiliary module is operatively connected to the DC bus.

Methods and devices are provided for using vehicle covers. For example, a method of covering a vehicle is provided including placing a pre-folded vehicle cover between front and rear wheels of the vehicle and then driving the vehicle forwards until the rear wheels of the vehicle are on top of the vehicle cover. The method includes extending a rear portion of the vehicle cover and driving the vehicle backwards until the front wheels of the vehicle are on top of the vehicle cover. The method further includes extending a front portion of the vehicle cover and covering at least a bottom and at least part of each side of the vehicle with the vehicle cover to form a barrier underneath and at least partially around the vehicle. The method can also include covering a top of the vehicle and entirely enclosing the vehicle.

El cobertor protector automático y portátil para vehículos, es un dispositivo que permite cubrir vehículos con el ñn de protegerlos de agentes externos como la lluvia, los rayos del sol, la polución y otras, de forma práctica, simplemente colocando el dispositivo en un costado de] vehículo y accionando un control hará que el dispositivo se sujete, eleve, despliegue y cubra automáticamente el automóvil. Cumpliendo los criterios básicos de portátil y automático. Para su funcionamiento, se requiere que el vehículo esté estacionado y cerrado. Puede cubrir vehículos que se midan máximo 5 metros de largo por 2 metros de ancho por 2,10 metros de alto. El dispositivo se compone de 4 mecanismos: Mecanismo de sujeción, que fija temporalmente el dispositivo al vehículo, un mecanismo de elevación que cuenta con un conjunto de tres bases deslizantes conocidas como mecanismo telescópico que alcanzan una altura de 2,10 m, un mecanismo de despliegue de brazos que contiene un marco rectangular plegable que genera la base sobre la cual se va a desenrollar la cubierta protectora y un mecanismo de extensión de cubierta protectora que al activarse la desenrolla hasta lograr que se extienda totalmente.

A universal and rapid system suitable for covering boats or any other vehicle and object. The purpose is to realize a covering system which is practical, functional in the positioning phase and compact in storage, to overcome problems related to water stagnation and bad air circulation, and to get the advantage of waterproofing, of protection from atmospheric agents. The system comprises a cover (1), a coupling means (10) placed on it, a system for lifting (38) anchored to a support structure (39) wherein said cover (1) is connected to a sleeve (15). The system, in its several applications, diversifies itself for the various possible embodiments of the several elements constituting the system, for example for the type and shape of the cover, for the type of the sleeve, for the modalities of anchoring.

Comprende una estructura (2) de varillas flexibles o rígidas en la que se acopla una pantalla (3) con faldón (6) de material opaco que evita los rayos solares, y unos medios de fijación (4) magnéticos que son pilares que permiten sujetar dicha estructura (2) sobre el vehículo (5), de modo que no está directamente en contacto con el techo del vehículo constituyendo una zona intermedia de circulación del aire. Los medios (4) comprenden una serie de piezas (40) con imán unidas entre sí mediante cordones (41), contando algunas de dichas piezas (40), las situadas en los tramos intermedios de los cordones (41) de mayor grosor con una acanaladura (42) para recibir a presión varillas (21), mientras que las piezas (40) con imán de los extremos del cordón (41) son de menor tamaño, sirviendo para tensar los laterales de la estructura (2). Dichos medios (4) se ajustan a las ruedas del vehículo (5). Los pilares constan de un tramo vertical (43) de tubos extensibles con anclaje superior (44) para la fijación a la varilla (21) y con un travesaño (45) inferior, también extensible, incorporando garras (46) de sujeción al neumático.

An applicator die for creating and applying laminarized ribbons of polymeric film to a target surface, such as but not limited to a surface of an automobile body component. In one embodiment, the protective film is an aqueous emulsion of polyvinyl acetate and is used to create a continuous peelable film to protect a surface. In another embodiment, the polymeric is polyvinyl chloride and it is applied to create an anti-chip coating. The applicator die has an internal supply gallery and an outlet slot of complex shape to emit a laminarized ribbon of polymer-based material that allows the material to be applied directly to the target surface without masking. A robot is used to control movement of the die. The die includes temperature control.

A positionally releasable vehicle armor arrangement includes, at least one plate positioned proximate a hatch of a hatchway of a vehicle configured to shield an occupant of the vehicle from projectiles, at least one retainer in operable communication with the at least one plate configured to structurally maintain position of the at least one plate relative to the vehicle separately from the hatch, and a release in operable communication with the at least one retainer configured to defeat the structural positioning of the at least one plate maintained by the at least one retainer so that the at least one plate can be repositioned sufficiently to avoid obstructing egress through the hatchway.
