A control apparatus 10 includes a calculation portion 10b that calculates a moving speed of the sleeve 36 based on a detection position by a stroke position sensor 38 at a predetermined time, the stroke position sensor detecting a moving position of the sleeve, and controls an operation of an axial driving device 40 based on the detection position by the stroke position sensor and the moving speed of the sleeve. The control apparatus applies a stop thrust load F4 to high teeth 36a1 for stopping a forward movement of the high teeth before the high teeth make contact with end surfaces 30b6 of clutch rear teeth 30b2 of a clutch ring 30, after each of the high teeth passes through a chamfered portion 30b3 of each of clutch front teeth of the clutch ring.

The groove parts (34) and the bottom face (32) are formed by means of a forging mold (50), and their surfaces are forged mill scale. The island parts (33) have a cut surface (37), which is formed by cutting the top part of the islands after they have been formed by the forging mold (50), and which receives the tip surface of a protruding part (24). The groove parts (34) are formed so as to be deeper than the bottom face (32), and the cut surface (37) is formed as to be shallower than the bottom face (32).
