There are prior art manual soldering tools (1) consisting of a heat-insulating handle (2), a soldering tip (4) and a heating device (3) generating the soldering temperature. Here, in order to allow single-handed operation, there are acceptance chambers (12, 27, 48) from which both solder and flux may be supplied to the soldering point for soldering components. Damaged components must first be removed in order to exchange electronic components and subsequently replaced by new ones. These two processes cannot be undertaken with the prior art manual soldering tools. The invention provides a manual soldering tool in which it is possible both to solder components and draw superfluous solder or flux. This is achieved in that in the handle (2) and/or near the heating device (3) there is at least one acceptance chamber (27, 48) for solder and/or flux from which solder and/or flux can be metered to the soldering tip (4) and there is an extraction chamber (12) into which superfluous solder or flux can be drawn.
