A method and an instrument for determining a nutritional state of a plant with respect to one or more nutrients is provided. The method comprises the steps of recording a time series of a fluorescence induction signal of a tissue sample of the plant using a fluorometer device to obtain signal data, wherein the time series at least comprises signal data within the rising portion of the fluorescence induction signal, and determining the nutritional state from an empirical model applied to the signal data, wherein the empirical model is based on pre-recorded reference data and relates nutritional states to shape-related features in the progression of the fluorescence induction signal.

In addition, these capsules may be used to protect photoactive compounds from oxygen, such as phosphorescent compounds and photon upconversion compositions, in particular triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion compositions.

The composition comprises a dispersion of nanocorpuscles in an aqueous solution as a dispersant and a pharmaceutically acceptable alcohol as co-dispersant or cosolvent, said nanocorpuscles having at least one lipid bilayer comprising at least one biliar salt, e.g. sodium cholate, and at least one phospholipid, e.g. soy lecitine; these nanocorpuscles having an average diameter lower than 500 nm; and including metallothioneine in their interior. The process for obtaining the particles comprises: a) prepare an aqueous solution of at least one biliar salt and metallothioneine; b) prepare an alcoholic solution of the phospholipid; c) jointly homogenise both solutions. This pharmaceutical composition can be used as a medicament, particularly in the treatment of neurodegenerative and neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, etc.
