Abstract:
Asymmetric expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membranes that contain multiple layers of ePTFE where at least one layer of ePTFE has a microstructure different from the microstructure of a second ePTFE layer. In exemplary embodiments, the asymmetric membrane contains a first ePTFE layer that has an “open” microstructure and a second ePTFE layer that has a less open, or “tight” microstructure. A third ePTFE layer having an “open” microstructure may be positioned on the second ePTFE layer. The asymmetric membranes possess print durability and are both abrasion resistant and air permeable. Additionally, printed asymmetric ePTFE membranes demonstrate low gloss. A textile may be affixed to the asymmetric membrane such that the first ePTFE layer is the outer surface of the laminate. Laminates containing the asymmetric membrane are sufficiently durable against abrasion so that articles of apparel having an exterior film surface remain liquidproof after an abrasion challenge.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and anti-fouling treatment method capable of preventing peeling from overlapping portions when adjacent anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheets are attached by allowing end portions thereof to overlap each other. The anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the present invention includes a base material layer; a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one side of the base material layer; and an anti-fouling layer provided on another side of the basematerial layer, wherein the anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has, at an end portion thereof, a bonding margin including parts of the base material layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the parts extending beyond the anti-fouling layer.
Abstract:
An optical adhesive product and a process for manufacturing an optical adhesive product, including laminated film ensembles, and laminated lenses, are described. The optical adhesive product includes a glyoxal water solution that is pH adjusted for use as an optical adhesive that demonstrates a wet peel force strength above about 6 Newtons. A water-based polymer, such as PVOH, may be added to the adhesive system. According to the process, the adhesive system is manufactured and utilized to laminate TAC-PVA-TAC films together to form a polar film ensemble. The polar film ensemble is laminated to an optical substrate and, when forming an ophthalmic lens, surfaced, coated and edged. The optical adhesive product avoids film separation in the polar TAC-PAV-TAC film ensemble during edging.
Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article with which, both when dry, prior to absorbing blood, and when wet, after absorbing blood, is provided with a fit in a wearer's excretory orifice, especially the labia minora, and which is not prone to leaking. Provided is an absorbent article (1), including a liquid-permeable top sheet (5), a non liquid-permeable back sheet (9), and an absorbent body (8) between the liquid-permeable top sheet (5) and the non liquid-permeable back sheet (9). The absorbent article (1) further comprises a center high part (2) which protrudes in the thickness direction of the absorbent article in an excretory orifice contact region. The center high part (2) further includes a portion of the top sheet (5), and a cushion part (7) which is positioned between the top sheet (5) and the absorbent body (8). The center high part (2) further includes a central part (11), and an outer circumference part (12) which surrounds the central part (11). The density of the cushion part (7) in the outer circumference part (12) is greater than the density of the cushion part (7) in the central part (11).
Abstract:
The invention relates to flexible PVC flooring, which includes a multilayer structure (S) having a wear layer (1), a decorative printing layer (2), a printable middle layer (3) and a foam backing layer (4), characterised in that it includes, in the body thereof and specifically in the printable middle layer, an intermediate composition in the form of a masterbatch (7) of a uniform, easy-to-handle paste including at least one plasticizer such as DINP or DIDP, at least one dispersant, and lamellar nanofillers in the dry state, said composition being incorporated into to said printable middle layer and providing a function of retarding organic compounds from the adhesives, which generate yellowing effects on the surface of the flooring, said composition defining a zigzag path through the entire body of the printable middle layer.
