There are provided a method for producing particles by suspension polymerization which ensures an excellent dispersion stability of the monomer and a simpler washing step, composite particles obtainable by this production method, and use of the composite particles. The method for producing composite particles includes a polymerization step of subjecting a monomer mixture which contains a polymerizable vinyl monomer to aqueous suspension polymerization in a presence of small polymer particles having a volume-average particle size of 20 to 500 nm, with a water-soluble cellulose compound adsorbing on surfaces of the small polymer particles, and thereby obtaining composite particles which contain the small polymer particles and large polymer particles greater than the small polymer particles.

The present invention provides a method for preparing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition, which comprises a step for mixing a resin emulsion (i) and a pigment-dispersed paste, and wherein: the resin emulsion (i) contains an aminated resin (A) and a blocked isocyanate curing agent (B); the pigment-dispersed paste contains a bismuth mixture (C) that is obtained by mixing a bismuth compound (c1) and an organic acid (c2) in advance, a pigment-dispersed resin (D), an amine-modified epoxy resin emulsion (ii) that contains an amine-modified epoxy resin (E), and a pigment (F); the pigment-dispersed resin (D) has a hydroxyl number of 20-120 mgKOH/g; and the amine-modified epoxy resin (E) has a hydroxyl number of 150-650 mgKOH/g.

The present invention relates to a diacrylate compound represented by general formula (1), a composition thereof, and a cured product of the compound/composition. In the formula, R denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 each independently denote a C 1-6 linear or branched alkyl group, with the proviso that R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 are not all methyl groups. The present invention provides: a novel diacrylate compound which can provide a cured product having an excellent balance of physical properties such as low curing shrinkage, flexibility, resistance to bending, and low curling properties, and which can be used as a photo or thermal-radical polymerizable monomer; a composition of the compound; and a cured product of the compound/composition.

There are disclosed porous plate-shaped fillers which are easy to be laminated, a method for producing the porous plate-shaped filler, and a heat insulation film in which a heat insulation effect improves. A porous plate-shaped filler 1 of the present invention is a plate shape having an aspect ratio of 3 or more, a surface shape is one of a round shape, an oval and a round-comer polygonal shape, and its minimum length is from 0.1 to 50 µm. Furthermore, a sectional shape is one of an arch shape, an elliptic shape, and a quadrangular shape in which at least a part of corners is rounded. Consequently, it is possible to obtain the heat insulation film in which the porous plate-shaped fillers 1 are easy to be laminated and the heat insulation effect improves.
