摘要： A biodegradable lubricant which is prepared from: about 60-99% by weight of at least one biodegradable synthetic ester base stock which comprises the reaction product of: a branched or linear alcohol having the general formula R(OH)n, wherein R is an aliphatic or cyclo-aliphatic group having from about 2 to 20 carbon atoms and n is at least 2; and mixed acids comprising about 30 to 80 molar % of a linear acid having a carbon number in the range between about C5 to C12, and about 20 to 70 molar % of at least one branched acid having a carbon number in the range between about C5 to C10 and wherein no more than 10% of the branched acids used to form the biodegradable synthetic ester base stock contains a quaternary carbon; wherein the ester base stock exhibits the following properties: at least 60% biodegradation in 28 days as measured by the Modified Sturm test; a pour point of less than -25 DEG C.; a viscosity of less than 7500 cps at -25 DEG C.; and oxidative stability of up to 45 minutes as measured by HPDSC.

10-100 Gew.% polyfunktionale, aschefreie, detergierend-dispergierend wirkende Zusatzstoff-Komposition oder deren ölige Lösung, wobei die polyfunktionale, aschefreie, detergierend-dispergierend wirkende Zusatzstoff-Komposition solche, gleiche oder verschiedene numerische Durchschnittsmolgeichte aufweisende Polymerkomponenten enthält, welche durch Umsetzung eines Polyolefin-Derivats, bevorzugt PIB-Derivats, welches mit einer oder mehreren Dicarbonsäuren und/oder Dicarbonsäureanhydrid und mit einem oder mehreren nichtsäureartigen Comonomeren mit ethylenischer Doppelbindung geimpft ist, und ein numerisches Durchschnittsmolgewicht von mindestens 800 hat, mit einer Amino- und/oder Imino- und/oder Hydroxygruppe enthaltendenen Verbindung hergestellt wurden, und in den Polymerkomponenten die Polyolefinkette durchschnittlich 1,6-20 Säurederivate trägt, und die Menge der Moleküle mit mehr als einem Säurederivat mindestens 25 Gew.% beträgt, wobei das Derivat ein Imid- und/oder Amid- und/oder Esteramid-Derivat sein kann, und

摘要： A lubricating oil composition comprises (A) a base oil, (B) a 3-methyl-5-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl substituted fatty acid ester in an amount of 0.1 - 5 percent by mass and (C) an auxiliary component, said auxiliary component being one member of the group of (a) a nitrogen-containing compound in an amount of 0.001 - 1 percent by mass, (b) a sulfur and/or phosphorus-containing compound in an amount of 0.1 - 5.0 percent by mass or (c) a phenolic compound in an amount of 0.1 - 5.0 percent by mass. This composition features the combination with a base oil of these specified components whereby there is provided synergistic effect conducive to inhibition or prevention of both oxidation and sludge formation while in use under elevated temperature conditions over extended periods of time.

摘要： The instant invention relates to a lubricant composition stabilized against the deleterious effects of heat and oxygen. The composition comprises a triglyceride oil or an oil which is an ester wherein unsaturation is present in either the alcohol moiety or the acid moiety and an effective stabilizing amount of either an N,N-disubstituted aminomethyl-1,2,4-triazole or an N,N-disubstituted aminomethylbenzotriazole; a higher alkyl substituted amide of dodecylene succinic acid; a phenolic antioxidant; and an aromatic amine antioxidant. Further additives can be added to these lubricant formulations.

摘要： A lubricating oil having an ashless nitrogenous TBN source together with ash containing detergent having a TBN in excess of 100, a source of magnesium, and metal dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate with predominantly or exclusively secondary hydrocarbyl groups is described. It comprises a major amount of an oil of lubricating viscosity having a sulfated ash content between 0.35 and 2 mass percent and A) a nitrogenous TBN source selected from the group consisting of ashless nitrogen containing dispersants, ashless nitrogen containing dispersant viscosity modifiers, oil soluble aliphatic, oxyalkyl, or arylalkyl amines and mixtures thereof; B) a metal salt of an oil soluble acid having a TBN in excess of 100; C) at least 500 ppm (mass) magnesium; and D) at least one metal dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate. The nitrogenous TBN source provides at least about 1.5 TBN to the finished lubricant. The metal salt of an oil soluble acid provides at least about 40 % of the total TBN of the composition. At least 50 mole percent of the hydrocarbyl groups on the dithiophosphate are secondary. Overbased magnesium solfonate may be used as the metal salt of an oil soluble sulfonic acid having a TBN in excess of 100 and the additive providing at least 500 ppm (mass) magnesium. The lubricant may be free of aromatic amines having at least two aromatic groups attached directly to the nitrogen. It may have at least 100 ppm (mass) boron and at least 1000 ppm (mass) phosphorus. The boron-to-nitrogen ratio is at least 0.1.
