摘要： Radiation sensitive compositions are image-wise exposed and developed to form an image which is then heated to improve its strength as a lithographic printing image or etch resist. The heating is carried out in the presence of a heat sensitive dye which undergoes a colour change at a temperature of at least 180°C so as to obtain an indication of whether or not the heating has been adequate. The dye may be an integral component of the composition or it may be applied to the image, after development, in combination with a substance capable of forming a shield against contaminating residues produced during the heating step.

摘要： The invention concerns a hull and a submerged propeller unit (22) demountably fitted to the hull and continuously rotatable through 36° of azimuth relative to the hull to give full thrust in any required direction. An aperture in the hull is surrounded by a fixing flange (29) to which extend a drive input shaft (12) for the propeller unit (22) and at least one steering drive shaft (62). At least one steering drive motor (64) is mounted in the vessel and is connected to the steering drive shaft (62) to effect rotation thereof. A gearbox casing (31, 32) of the propeller unit fits in the aperture with a circumferential flange (34) releasably bolted (35) to the fixing flange (29). A stem (42, 45) depends from said casing and is rotatably supported therein at its upper end to act as a steering tube for a propeller (22) rotatably supported at its lower end. A steering gear wheel (55) in said casing (31, 32) through which the stem (42) passes and to which it is secured effects rotation thereof. Steering drive gear means (56) rotatably supported in said casing (31,32) in mesh with the steering drive wheel (55) is releasably connected to said steering drive shaft (62) so that operation of said steering motor (64) rotates the propeller unit (22). A drive transmission shaft (16) for the propeller (22) extends through the stem (42, 45) is releasably connected at its upper end to the main drive shaft (12) whereby when the propeller unit (22) is dismounted from the vessel the steering gear wheel (55) and the gear means (56) are removed in the casing (31, 32) as part of the demountable propeller unit (22).

Les résultats des deux balayages sont mémorisés et comparés par le microprocesseur (20) afin de déterminer l'amplitude apparente du déplacement du plateau en unités arbitraires. On fait alors correspondre cette amplitude apparente à la distance de déplacement précise connue afin de calibrer les unités arbitraires. Le microprocesseur (20) peut ensuite calculer la mesure désirée à partir des données de n'importe lequel des deux balayages stockés dans le microprocesseur.

摘要： A device for use in a bottle filling head comprises a vent tube in the form of an electrically insulating tubular member and at least two elongate electrical conductors which are substantially parallel, wherein (a) the electrical conductors are embedded in the walls of the tubular member, terminating in connectors at or close to one end of the tubular member and extending out of the opposite lower end of the tubular member; (b) at least said opposite end of the tubular member is open; and (c) the tubular member includes at least one port which permits free communication with said opposite end of the tubular member. The elongate electrical conductors are preferably arranged to act as a level detector. The invention also provides a bottle filling apparatus incorporating such a device in a bottle filling head. The apparatus also includes circuit means connected to the elongate electrical conductors of the device and arranged to allow said conductors to function as a level detector, the circuit means being arranged to produce an output command when the response of said conductors corresponds to a pre-set level within a bottle; and process control means, responsive to commands from said circuit means; for controlling operation of the bottle filling head and supply of liquid thereto.
