摘要： A vector comprising a first DNA sequence which is complementary to at least part of an alphavirus RNA genome and having the complement of complete alphavirus DNA genome replication regions, a second DNA sequence encoding a paramyxovirus protein, particularly a respiratory syncytial virus fusion (RSV F) protein or an RSV F protein fragment that generates antibodies that specifically react with RSV F protein, the first and second DNA sequences being under the transcriptional control of a promoter is described. Such vector may be used to produce an RNA transcript which may be used to immunize a host, including a human host, to protect the host aginst disease caused by paramyxovirus, particularly respiratory syncytial virus, by administration to the host. The RNA transcript may be formed by linearization of the vector through cleavage at a unique restriction site in a plasmid vector and then transcribing the linear molecule.

摘要： A device for dispensing water from a source of water under pressure to at least one water-using attachment, includes a basin and a water-dispensing adjustable diaphragm fill valve. The water-using attachments may have various configurations such as but not limited to garden planters and pots, terrariums, and farms, garden pot converters, underground springs, Christmas tree stands, animal waterers, animal waterer/feeders, bird baths, hummingbird feeders, amphibian habitats, animal cages, bird cages, pond filter/fountains, aquariums, air conditioners and water toys. The basin holds a volume of water and has a closed bottom, at least one side wall, and an open top and includes a water inlet port adapted to connect the basin to the source of water under pressure. A mounting rim is positioned adjacent to the open top for mounting the water-using attachments, and a seat is provided for readily accepting and releasing the fill valve within the basin below a selected water line. The adjustable diaphragm fill valve is mounted on the seat and maintains a volume of water in the basin at a predetermined level. The fill valve has at least one water outlet port for dispensing water from the fill valve into the basin.

摘要： The invention provides methods of preventing acute rejection following renal or other solid organ transplantation. The methods entail administering, e.g., intravenously, to a transplant patient a monoclonal antibody which binds to the p55 subunit of the human interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor of human T lymphocytes. The monoclonal antibody is preferably a chimeric or humanized antibody that blocks binding of IL-2 to the IL-2 receptor. In some methods, a single dose of about 1 mg/kg of antibody is administered about every other week, commencing immediately prior to transplantation and continuing until 8 weeks after transplantation.
