摘要： A method of constructing a lined closure in which a liner having a circular base, a liner membrane and a thermoplastic adhesive securing the liner membrane to the base, is press fitted into a closure having a skirt with internal threads such that the liner engages and rides over the threads and is positioned against the internal base of the closure. Heat is applied to the liner at least around the periphery of the liner so as to melt the thermoplastic adhesive and resecure the liner membrane to the liner base. In this way, the liner membrane is resecured to the liner base so as to correct any separation between the membrane and base that might have occurred as the liner was press fitted into the closure.

摘要： The invention relates to method and device for inserting a tubular element (21) having a retainer (22, 23) projecting transversely at each end thereof, said retainer being resiliently foldable towards the axis of said tubular element, into a through aperture (25) in a flexible wall (26) accessible from one side (26A) only. A loading tube (11) is passed over the element, the retainers being folded projecting substantially axially from the ends of the element, and the loading tube with the element enclosed therein is passed through the aperture from said one side of the wall. Then, the loading tube is partly withdrawn, the element being held stationary by a tool (10) inserted into the tube from the other end thereof so that the forward retainer (22) as seen in the insertion direction will be released and will unfold at the other side (26B) of the wall. The loading tube is withdrawn further in order that the rear flange will be unfolded at said one side of the wall, said element being left in the aperture with the retainers positioned one at each side of the wall.

摘要： A liquidproof paperboard carton having a pourspout (1) extending through an aperture (5) in the paperboard. The spout includes inner and outer flanges (4', 6) secured to the inner and outer surfaces (2a, 2b) of the carton. The double flange construction isolates the edge of the aperture form exposure to liquid. The flanges are secured to the carton using heat and pressure supplied, for example, by an ultrasonically vibrating horn (10) and an anvil (20). The spout also includes a threaded cap (1b) and a tamper-evident membrane (1c).

The present invention relates also to a method of producing a container equipped with a metallic lid, which comprises the steps of covering the inner surface of a peripheral portion (12) of the metallic lid (11) with a heat-fusible material (13) such as a modified polyolefin, having the lid (11) fastening the grip of a flange (15) of a plastic container main body (14) from under and fusing the flange (15) to the peripheral portion (12) of the metallic lid (11) by heating means such as radio frequency heating. The present invention relates further to a production apparatus equipped with a mold, as a molding apparatus for press-molding the plastic container main body (14), which mold consists of a bottom force (104) having an inclined surface extending from the upper peripheral portion of the inner periphery of a metal mold to an outer periphery portion (103) at an angle of inclination of 5 to 40° and a top force (111) having a clamp (105) for clamping a plastic sheet and a plug (106) for pushing the sheet.

摘要： When metal caps for container closures and other small articles are made from samples cut or stamped from plate metal, the rough cut edges may be modified so that they obtain a more advantageous shape and/or surface. This may be obtained by compressing the metal forming said cut edge and possibly also the adjacent rim portion to such an extent that the compressive stress exceeds the yield point of the material. The cut edge may then be formed with a smooth surface and the adjacent rim portion may obtain a bead-like shape, if desired. Such a bead-like rim portion is advantageous on metal caps of the type used in connection with closures for Infusion and injection bottles and normally being made from aluminium or aluminium alloys. Such metal caps are provided with a plastic cover which is brought into sealing engagement with the cap rim portion defining a central opening of the cap. The material, from which the plastic cover is made, may be substantially completely plastic, and the said engagement with the cap rim portion may then be obtained by deforming a skirt-like part of the plastic cover in a cold condition.
