Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a laser-welded article that workpieces prepared simply can be easily unified by laser in one laser welding process without using complicated processes. Moreover, the laser-welded article has an excellent appearance and sufficient welding strength of the molded workpieces, and does not damage the resin property. The laser-welded article comprises: an integral construction of a single workpiece that at least a part of curled workpiece is overlapped or plural workpieces that at least a part of each workpiece is piled, which is welded by exothermic through irradiating laser, wherein the single laser-transmissible-absorptive molded workpiece or the plural laser-transmissible-absorptive molded workpieces include a thermoplastic resin and a laser-transmissible absorbent to have an absorbance: a ranging from 0.07 to 2.0, and have abilities of absorbing at least partial beam of the laser and transmitting another partial beam of the laser.

Abstract: A simultaneous laser welding apparatus (36) of a vehicle light (4) comprising a placement support (40) for a container body (8) and a lenticular body (24) of a vehicle light (4) to be welded together at reciprocal perimeter profiles (20,28) associated at a welding interface (32), a plurality of laser sources (34, 44) suitable for emitting light beams, a plurality of optical fibres (48) associated with the laser sources (34, 44) at input ends (52) and suitable for transmitting said light beams, a fibre-holder support device (60) for the optical fibres (48), suitable for blocking output ends (56) of said optical fibres (48) in predetermined positions, spaced apart by a pitch (P), a light guide (64) provided with at least one seat (76) which extends from a light input wall (68), which receives the light beams coming from the output ends (56) of the optical fibres (48), to a light output wall (72) which sends the light beams towards the welding interface (32). Advantageously, a single optical fibre (48) is associated at its input end (52) with each laser source (34, 44) so as to receive, channel and transmit towards the welding interface (32), the light beam produced by said corresponding laser source (34, 44).

Abstract: In an apparatus for successively making plastic bags, a laser beam irradiator (5) irradiates laser beam (6) onto webs of panel material (2) and a body of zipper material (3) to heat and melt the webs of panel material (2) and the body of zipper material (3) with the laser beam (6). The webs of panel material (2) and the body of zipper material (3) are fed intermittently at a speed V predetermined to be changed by time T. The irradiator (5) is controlled on a feedforward control basis for the laser beam (6) to be regulated in amount Q, the amount Q being calculated from the speed V predetermined, to obtain a calculated value of amount Q. The laser beam (6) is regulated in accordance with the calculated value to heat and melt the webs of panel material (2) and the body of zipper material (3) uniformly irrespective of the speed V being changed.

Abstract: A laser welding apparatus is provides that includes: a support member including a heat generation portion which has a size that is limited to correspond to a size of a welding area of a plurality of plastic components and is made from a material that absorbs a laser beam and generates heat, and which generates heat of a temperature that is equal to or greater than a melting temperature of the plastic components; a laser beam irradiation unit for converging a laser beam to be transmitted through the plurality of plastic components, and irradiating the laser beam toward the heat generation portion through the plurality of plastic components; and a welding controller for causing a laser beam to be irradiated at the heat generation portion using the laser beam irradiation unit to thereby cause the heat generation portion to generate heat, and welding abutting faces of a welding area of the plurality of plastic components with heat that is generated.

Abstract: In an apparatus for successively making plastic bags, a laser beam irradiator (5) irradiates laser beam (6) onto webs of panel material (2) and a body of zipper material (3) to heat and melt the webs (2) and the body (3) with the beam (6). The body (3) comprises male and female members (9, 10) including fitted portions and flange portions (11), the fitted portions being fitted with each other. The irradiator (5) irradiates the beam (6) onto the webs (2) and the flange portions (11) on opposite sides of the fitted portions to heat and melt the webs (2) and the flange portions (11) with the beam (6) so that the webs (2) and the flange portions (11) are welded to each other along two welded lines (12) without heating the fitted portions with the beam (6). The irradiator (5) comprises a source of laser beam (13), a ball lens (14) and a glass plate (15), the lens (14) and the plate (15) being interposed between the source (13) and the webs (2) and between the source (13) and the flange portions (11), the plate (15) being V-shaped in section to have a central portion protruding toward the webs (2) and the flange portions (11), the beam (6) being magnified and divided by the lens (14) and the plate (15) so that the webs (2) and the flange portions (11) are welded to each other along two welded lines (12).

Abstract: Kunststoffteile (16, 17), die wenigstens eine zu verschwei-βende erste Kunststoffschicht (24) und wenigstens eine opake Schicht (22) aufweisen, werden mittels Laserschweißen verschweißt. Es wird vorgeschlagen, mit dem Laserlicht die opake Schicht (22) zu durchleuchten, wobei durch gezielte Auswahl der Wellenlänge des Laserlichts, Fokussieren des Laserlichts in der Schweißstelle (30) und/oder Bündeln mehrerer Laserstrahlen in der Schweißstelle an dieser die erforderliche Energie in das Material eingebracht wird, gleichzeitig aber die opake Schicht vor einer schädlichen Wärmeeinwirkung geschützt wird. Das Verfahren eignet sich insbesondere zur Herstellung von Hohlkörpern mit verdeckten Schweißstellen (30), beispielsweise Lenkrädern (10).
