Provided are: a rubber composition for treads which contains a diene rubber in the rubber component and can simultaneously achieve blowing resistance during dry running, wet grip performance and abrasion resistance; and a pneumatic tire including a tread formed from the rubber composition for treads. The rubber composition contains: a diene rubber including styrene-butadiene rubber; zinc dithiophosphate; an inorganic filler including at least one selected from the group consisting of: a compound of the formula: mM·xSiO y ·zH 2 O wherein M represents at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Al, Mg, Ti, Ca, and Zr, or an oxide or hydroxide of the metal, m represents an integer of 1-5, x represents an integer of 0-10, y represents an integer of 2-5, and z represents an integer of 0-10; magnesium sulfate; and silicon carbide, and having a BET value of 5-120 m 2 /g and a linseed oil absorption of 30-80 mL/100 g; and sulfur, wherein, per 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber, there are 0.2-15 parts by mass of the zinc dithiophosphate, 1-70 parts by mass of the inorganic filler, and less than 2.5 parts by mass of zinc oxide.

A rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a rubber component which comprises at least one type of rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber and diene synthetic rubbers, 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of at least one type of metal dithiophosphate represented by the following general formula, optionally 15 to 85 parts by weight of a reinforcing inorganic filler, and optionally a specific tertiary amine compound in an amount of 0.5 to 15% by weight of the amount of the reinforcing inorganic filler is provided. wherein R 1 and R 3 each independently represents an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group, M represents an antimony atom, a zinc atom, a copper atom, or an iron atom, and n represents a valency of M. The rubber composition of the present invention exhibits excellent resistance to heat or resistance to heat aging (particularly excellent resistance to hardening and excellent fracture properties).

The invention concerns regenerated celluloses which are made flame-retardant and contain at least one compound of formula (I). The invention also pertains to the use of compounds of formula I as flame retardants specifically for regenerated cellulose and a process for modifying regenerated cellulose characterised by the addition of compounds of formula (I) or a dispersion containing these compounds.

A pneumatic tire comprising a tread portion formed by using a rubber composition which comprises: a rubber component comprising 50 parts by weight or more of SBR in 100 parts by weight of the rubber component; optionally, 5 to 40 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide per 100 parts of the rubber component; per 100 parts by weight of the rubber component, 20 parts by weight or more of a softener which comprises 5 to 55 parts by weight of a specific resin softener having a softening point of 35 to 150°C; and per 100 parts by weight of the rubber component, 0.2 to 10.0 parts by weight of a specific vulcanization accelerator of a dithiophosphoric acid compound or a specific vulcanization accelerator of a benzothiazole compound. The pneumatic tire exhibits excellent stability and controllability on wet roads or a combination of excellent stability and controllability on wet roads and excellent comfort of ride even when a vehicle is vibrating throughout the life of the pneumatic tire.
