    摘要: The invention relates to optically active high-molecular compounds represented by the structural formula (1) and stationary-phase materials containing the same. The high-molecular compounds exhibit optical activity by virtue of their stacking helical structures wherein the aromatic groups are distorted, thus being useful as optically active stationary phases for HPLC or polarized-light absorbers. In the formula (1), Ar is an aromatic ring; R and R are each hydrogen or an organic group; R and R are each a substituent; n is an integer of 2 or above; X is -(CH2)m-, an aromatic group, a vinyl group, a heteroatom, or a heteroatom-containing group; and m is an integer of 0 or above, with the proviso that the compound may have two to four R s and/or two to four R s which may be each the same or different from each other.

    摘要: An image recording medium is disclosed which comprising: an acid generating agent capable of generating an acid by the action of heat or an acid, which is represented by the following formula (1); and a compound of causing variation in the absorption region of from 360 to 900 nm by the intramolecular or intermolecular reaction triggered by the action of an acid:

    wherein W 1 represents a residue of an acid represented by W 1 OH, and P represents an acid-sensitive substituent capable of splitting off at a temperature of 150°C or less due to catalysis by W 1 OH.
