Abstract:
Novel vanadium complexes of the oxo or dioxo type of the general formula in which V denotes vanadium, O is a dianionic oxygen atom which is linked to the vanadium metal in the oxo or dioxo manner, and Z represents an anion or a monoanionic, monodentate or multidentate group, while L and L', which can be identical or different, denote a monodentate or multidentate, electron-supplying ligand; n and m are identical or different and in each case denote 0 or 1 or 2, p is equal to 1 or 2, or is an intermediate number between 1 and 2 such that an equilibrium exists between the two forms p = 1 and p = 2 in accordance with the equation (1) defined in the description. The invention also relates to the preparation and use of the novel complexes for converting unsaturated hydrocarbons, in particular for oxidising olefins.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily oxidizing a starting material, particularly an organic starting material, using an oxidant so as to obtain a product by a technically easy, economical method. SOLUTION: The method for obtaining a product mixture containing cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone by oxidizing cyclohexane using an oxidant comprises a step of carrying out oxidation in a rectifying column, which has a bottom region at its lower end, a top region at its upper end and a reaction zone between the top and bottom regions and has a separation performance of 10-100 in terms of the number of theoretical plates, a step of maintaining the reaction mixture in a boiling state in the reaction zone, and a step of introducing the oxidant into the reaction zone in at least two sub-streams. Here, the oxidation is carried out under a condition wherein the average retention time of a reaction mixture on each plate of the column is 1-120 min and the number of theoretical plates in the upper region of the rectifying column is 5-50. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oxygen-containing organic compound by oxidizing an organic compound using molecular oxygen, where a catalyst, which gives the oxygen-containing organic compound in a high yield and can be easily recovered and reutilized, is used. SOLUTION: The production method of the oxygen-containing organic compound includes oxidizing an organic compound using molecular oxygen in a liquid phase in the presence of a nitrogen atom-containing cyclic compound containing a skeleton represented by formula (1) [wherein X is an -OR group (wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a protecting group of a hydroxy group)] as a constituting element of the ring and a catalyst comprising a transition metal compound carried on a solid superacid. Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for oxidizing hydrocarbons, in particular branched or unbranched saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, cycloaliphatic or alkylaromatic hydrocarbons to acidic or polyacidic compounds. The invention relates more particularly to the oxidation, with an oxidizing agent containing molecular oxygen, of cyclohexane to adipic acid, in the presence of organic acid of lipophilic nature and in the absence of adipic acid. The separation and recycling of the unoxidized cyclohexane, the oxidation intermediates and the catalysts are easier than in the presence of acetic acid.
