摘要: PURPOSE:An oil composition for temper-rolling that contains a specific proportion of wax, which is approved by FDA, fatty acids, triethanolamine, mineral oil and nonionic surface active agents, thus being dispersible in an aqueous medium and showing high rusting resistance and good coating properties. CONSTITUTION:The objective oil composition is composed of (A) 10-60wt% of at least one selected from the group consisting of petroleum wax, synthetic wax, and lanolin, which are specified by FDA paragraphs No.178-3910, (B) 5- 40% of fatty acids, (C) 5-30% of triethanolamine and (D) 10-40% of mineral oil, additionally, (E) 1-20% of polyethylene glycol monostearate and/or a nonionic surfactant specified by FDA paragraph No.178-3400. The resultant composition is used after it is emulsified in water containing 0.1-10% of alcohols or glycols.

摘要: PURPOSE:To control rolling so that a camber in the width direction in temper rolling is eliminated, by measuring the chamber in the width direction of a material to be rolled at the outlet side of a skin pass roll, and moving vertically an anti-cross brake roll in conformity with a controlling extent obtained from the calculation modified in relation to the thickness of material. CONSTITUTION:A signal of camber detected during rolling at the outlet side of a skin pass roll 2 of a temper rolling installation by a width camber detector 3 is converted by a converter 6 to input the converted signal to an arithmetic device 7 to which the informations relative to sheet thickness is previously inputted. A calculation to be modified by the sheet thickness for the purpose of moving an anti-cross brake roll 4 up and down is performed by the device 7 to output the result to an amplifier 8. The amplifier 8 outputs a signal to a driving device 5 to move the roll 4 up and down thereby controlling the camber in the width direction of a material 1 to be rolled. The variation in product qualities due to the difference in operator's skill is restrained by this controlling method.

摘要: PURPOSE:To produce a light-gage steel strip having a good surface shape with safety and good efficiency by crushing and thinning the weld zone thereof right after superposing and welding the ends of the light-gage steel strips, applying temper rolling load thereon and subjecting the weld zone to the temper rolling as well. CONSTITUTION:The light-gage steel strip 3 fed from a steel strip coil 1 after annealing is passed through a welding machine 4, where the ends of the preceding and succeeding strips are held superposed and welded by upper and lower electrode wheels 7, 8 for welding while the electrodes are rolled down and moved in the transverse direction of the strip. Upper and lower rolls 11, 12 for crushing and thinning having a small diameter are moved transversely in synchronization with the transverse movement of wheels 7, 8 to crush and roll the superposed weld zone which are still extremely hot thereby decreasing the thickness of the weld zone. The strip is then passed through a temper rolling mill 16 to temper roll the weld zone which is held applied with the temper rolling load. The strip is trimmed of its side edges with a side trimmer 17 and is thereafter passed through an oil coated 18 and a splitting shear 19 and is coiled on a tension reel 20.

摘要: PURPOSE: To transport a steel band in the horizontal state to prevent slackening and up-and-down fluctuation, to improve the defect detection accuracy of a check device, and to avoid mixing of inferior goods in excellent goods by providing a bridle roll for applying tension between a steel band check device and a shearing machine.
CONSTITUTION: A steel band 10 is subjected to a edge cutting process and then a process for detecting a surface defect. After the steel band is put out from a pin hole detector 20, and supplied to a pinch roll 24 through a bridle roll 46 to be fed to a shearing machine 22'. Subsequently, the steel band 10 is cut to an intended length and transported to a piler 34 by belt conveyers 26W32. A steel plate having a defect detected by a check device is conveyed to a piler for inferior goods by action of a solenoid magnet roll 40. Thus, tension is applied to the steel band 10 between the bridle roll 46 and a pay-off reel 14 by the bridle roll 46, so that at the time of passing an automatic defectoscope 18 and the pin hole detector 20, slackening and up-and-down fluctuation of the steel band can be prevented to check the steel band accurately and avoid mixing of inferior goods in excellent goods.

CONSTITUTION:A sheet bar S1 rolled by a group 2 of roughing mills and housed in a coil box 5 is finished by a finishing mill 3 through a gap of fixed type welder 10 and a spiral looper 11. The rear end of a preceding sheet bar S1' is sheared 6 and fixed to the welder 10. The front end of a succeeding sheet bar S1 is also sheared 6 and fixed to the welder 10 to abut and weld it to the rear end of preceding one. During said operation, the looper 11 is unwound to perform finish rolling 3 continuously at a constant speed.
