    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the reported isomer selectivity is poor when the reaction of dimethoxymethane (DMM) and an aromatic compound at a reaction temperature in the range of 80 to 400°C in the presence of an acid catalyst, includes substituted aromatic compounds such as xylene, and also, the reaction yields are not acceptable.
    SOLUTION: There is provided a process of producing a 1,1-diaryl alkane, comprising a condensation reaction of an aromatic compound with an acetal, in the presence of a perfluorinated sulfonic acid in polymeric form as catalyst.
