The gas stream exiting the condenser step may be further processed in one or more emission control devices, such as a single or multi-step series of concentrator devices, such as zeolite concentrator devices. One or more emission control operations can be carried out downstream of the single or multi-step concentrators. The aforementioned condensing process enables the one or more concentrators to operate in a favorable temperature range for removal of 99% or more of VOC, thereby meeting or exceeding strict environmental regulations.

Abstract: A paint delivery and application apparatus, wherein the apparatus includes a source of paint, a paint applicator, a supply line interconnecting the source of paint and the applicator and at least one pig in the supply line, wherein the paint pushes the pig from adjacent the source of paint to the paint applicator and a source of purging solvent delivering a small volume of purging solvent to the supply line when the pig is adjacent the source of paint adjacent to and upstream of the pig acting as a lubricant, reducing chattering and skipping of the pig and extending the life of the pig. Where the apparatus includes two pigs, purging solvent is delivered between the pigs adjacent the applicator, the pigs are delivered to adjacent the source of paint and a small volume of solvent is then delivered from between the pigs upstream of the pigs.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for cleaning pollution control equipment, such as particulate removal devices, including wet electrostatic precipitators (WESP). The WESP may include a housing, at least one gas inlet in fluid communication with the housing, a gas outlet spaced from the at least one gas inlet and in fluid communication with the housing, one or more ionizing electrodes in the housing adapted to be connected to a high voltage source, and one or more collection electrodes in the housing. The housing may be in fluid communication with a flushing fluid source, such as a water source. The effective length of the collection electrodes is increased with extensions which add significant surface area to the collection electrodes while minimizing the corresponding height increase.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for removing wet paint overspray from an outgoing air flow (120) containing over-spray particles. The device separates wet paint over-spray from an over-spray particle contained in an exhaust air stream (120). The overspray particles in the exhaust air stream (120) are formed during the painting at an application area (108) of a painting installation (100). The device (126) comprises of at least one separation apparatus for separating the over-spray from the exhaust air stream (120). The separation apparatus includes a regeneratable surface filter (146) and the flow path of the exhaust air stream (120) from the application area (108) to a separating device (145) having at least one narrowed area (146). The central direction of flow of the exhaust air stream (120) remains essentially preserved in passing by the narrowed area (140).
