    摘要: A condensation curable silyl functional hydrocarbon polymer composition with improved adhesion to substrates. The composition comprises: (A) 100 parts by weight of an organic hydrocarbon polymer having a number average molecular weight of about 500 to about 300,000, and on average at least 1 hydrolyzable silyl group per molecule; (B) 0.1 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (A) of an alkoxy-silyl substituted organic adhesion promoter of an number average molecular weight in the range of 500 to 5,000, selected from the group consisting of di- or trialkoxy-silyl substituted polybutadiene, polyisoprene, polyisobutylene, copolymers of isobutylene and isoprene, copolymers of isoprene and butadiene, copolymers of isoprene and styrene, copolymers of butadiene and styrene and polyolefin polymers prepared by hydrogenating polyisoprene, polybutadiene or a copolymer of isoprene and styrene, a copolymer of butadiene and styrene or a copolymer of isoprene, butadiene and styrene, with the proviso that component (B) is different from component (A); and (C) 0.01 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (A) of a condensation cure catalyst; optional ingredients include (D) non reinforcing fillers and/or low-reinforcing fillers; (E) reinforcing filler and (F) water or a moisture-containing component. Applications include use as sealants for insulating glazing.

    摘要: This invention relates to sprayable aqueous silicone emulsions which form silicone elastomers upon the removal of water having improved smoke and fire resistant properties. The aqueous silicone emulsion comprises water, a product of a diorganosiloxane polymer and a crosslinker, a surfactant and a filler selected from the group consisting of aluminum trihydrate, fumed titanium dioxide, magnesium oxide, ceramic fillers and zinc borate. The silicone emulsion has a viscosity of 10,000 to 120,000 mPa s and exhibits pseudo plastic rheology which facilitates its application by spraying. A softening agent may also be added for modulus control.

At least one protective electrode is mounted on the surface. The sensor electrodes can have a first AC voltage at a prescribed frequency applied to them. The protective electrode can have a second AC voltage, which is essentially at the prescribed frequency, applied to it.
