摘要: Silicone oil-in-water emulsions containing a polysiloxane containing polymer is prepared by first preparing a polysiloxane containing polymer by the polymerization of siloxane containing monomers and/or oligomers in the presence of an inert organopoly siloxane and/or an organic fluid, a suitable catalyst and optionally an end-blocking agent; and quenching the reaction if required. If required one or more surfactants may be introduced into the polysiloxane containing polymer to form a homogenous oil phase. Water is then added (in an amount of 0.1-10 percent by weight based on total oil phase weight) to the homogenous oil phase to form a water-in-oil emulsion. Shear is applied to the water-in-oil emulsion to cause inversion of the water-in-oil emulsion to an oil-in-water emulsion. Finally, if required the oil-in-water emulsion can be diluted by adding more water.

摘要: A lignocellulosic composite composition comprising: a) lignocellulosic pieces, b) one or more organic binders, c) hydrophobing agent in the form of a silicon containing material selected from (i) phenyl silsesquioxane resin, (ii) a reaction product of an aminosilane and alkylsilane, (iii) a resin emulsion and (v) a polydiorganosiloxane polymer having at least 2 Si—H groups having at least 2 Si—H groups per molecule in combination with either an aminosilane or an aminosiloxane or, in the absence of said aminosilane and said aminosiloxane when at least one organic binder (b) comprises primary or secondary amino groups. The hydrophobing agent is present in the composition in an amount of from about 0.05 to 3% by weight of the composition and is optionally wax free. Methods of preparation and uses are additionally discussed.

The silicone emulsions are useful for imparting water repellency to various surfaces, and in particular, inorganic building surfaces.

摘要: This invention relates to aqueous emulsions comprising a polyorganosiloxane and a wax, and to methods of production of such emulsions. The emulsions are of the type oil-in-water. An organopolysiloxane is polymerized in admixture with a molten wax, thereby forming a blend of the wax with an organopolysiloxane of increased molecular weight, and the said blend of polymer and molten wax is emulsified in water in the presence of a surfactant. The emulsions are useful in personal care applications such as on hair, skin, mucous membrane or teeth. The emulsions are also useful in applications such as paints, water based coatings, textile fibre treatment, leather lubrication, fabric softening, fabric care in laundry applications, homecare, release agents and oil drag reduction.

摘要: A hydrosilylation curable composition containing a comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of an organic polymer having on average at least 1.4 alkenyl groups per molecule; (B) an amount sufficient to cure the composition of a crosslinker having on average at least 1.4 Si—H groups per molecule; (C) a platinum group metal-containing catalyst in an amount sufficient to effect curing of the composition; (D) 0.1 to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (A) of an alkoxy silyl substituted organic oligomer having a number average molecular weight in the range of 200 to 5,000, having a polymer backbone selected from the group of polybutadiene, polyisoprene, polyisobutylene, copolymers of isobutylene and isoprene, copolymers of isoprene and butadiene, copolymers of isoprene and styrene, copolymers of butadiene and styrene, copolymers of isoprene, butadiene and styrene and polyolefin polymers prepared by hydrogenating polyisoprene, polybutadiene or a copolymer of isoprene and styrene, a copolymer of butadiene and styrene or a copolymer of isoprene, butadiene and styrene, and optionally a titanium compound having Ti—O—C bonds. The composition provides improved self adhesion to substrates.

摘要: Silicone pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) compositions and methods for their preparation are provided. In one embodiment, PSAs are formed from a silicone polymer mixture by condensation polymerization of low viscosity polyorganosiloxanes in inert solvents and/or silicone fluids, and optionally adding a silicone resin (MQ) during polymerization. The silicone polymer mixture formed may also be mixed with a silicone resin (MQ) and bodying catalyst, and bodying is allowed to continue until the desired reaction product is formed.

摘要: A method of making a polysiloxane containing polymer is described. The method comprises the steps of the polycondensation of a) 100 parts by weight of oligomers comprising non-cyclic siloxane containing oligomers having at least two condensable groups per molecule alone or in a mixture with one or organic oligomers having at least two condensable groups per molecule in the presence of: b) at least 2 parts by weight per 100 parts of (a) of one or more condensation catalysts comprising a Bronsted acid or a Lewis acid c) at least 15 parts by weight per 100 parts of (a) of one or more liquefied gases or a supercritical fluid therefrom. Subsequent to the reaction completion the polysiloxane containing polymer is recovered by expansion of the liquefied gas(es) or supercritical fluid (c).

摘要: The invention relates to oil-in-water emulsions, methods of making said emulsions and their uses in fabric care or hair care compositions. The fabric care composition comprises a silicone oil-in-water emulsion which emulsion is obtained by a. forming an oil phase by mixing at least one silicone compound with at least one silicone-free oil, b. optionally adding an emulsifier, c. adding water, d. forming an oil-in-water emulsion. A silicone oil, comprising a siloxane or polysiloxane compound, for example polydimethyl siloxane (polydimethyl silicone or PDMS), or a derivative thereof, e.g., amino and amido silicone, diluted with a silicone-free oil still can provide an emulsion providing high fabric care properties while decreasing the costs.

摘要: A mechanical method of making an oil-in-water microemulsion containing (A) a polysiloxane and (B) an inert fluid selected from an inert siloxane fluid and an inert organic fluid, where the average emulsion particle size is between 1 and 140 nanometers, is disclosed. The process involves the following steps: i) preparing an oil phase comprising a polysiloxane containing mixture by the polymerization of silane or siloxane containing monomers and/or oligomers in the presence of an inert fluid, a suitable catalyst and optionally an end-blocking agent; and ii) where required quenching the polymerization process; wherein the inert fluid is substantially retained within the resulting polysiloxane containing mixture; iii) if required, mixing one or more surfactants into the oil phase; iv) adding water to the oil phase, followed by applying agitation or shear to the mixture to arrive at an oil-in-water microemulsion; v) optionally diluting the oil-in-water microemulsion by adding more water.
