    摘要: A polarized light emitting light guide plate includes: a transparent substrate of optically isotropic material, in which the light incident through a lateral side thereof travels; an anisotropic liquid crystal polymer layer formed on an upper surface of the substrate and having first and second refractive indices with respect to first and second perpendicular polarization components; and a polarization separation microstructure formed at an interface between the transparent substrate and the liquid crystal polymer layer, which refracts or reflects the first polarization component and transmits the second polarization component. The refractive index of the polarization separation microstructure is substantially equal to the refractive index of the substrate; the first refractive index of the liquid crystal polymer layer is greater than the refractive index of the substrate, and the second refractive index of the liquid crystal polymer layer light is substantially equal to the refractive index of the substrate.

The light guide panel includes a first layer having an incidence surface on which light is incident from at least one light source, an opposite surface disposed opposite the incidence surface, and an emission surface from which light is emitted; a second layer disposed on the first layer and having an emission unit in which prisms are serially and repetitively arranged; and a third layer disposed on the second layer and formed of an anisotropic material. The light guide panel also includes a plurality of light distribution controllers disposed in the second layer which totally reflect light transmitted through the first layer toward the first layer, such that the amount of totally reflected light gradually decreases from a region near the light source toward a region far from the light source.

In one embodiment, a method provides forming a barrier layer on a substrate and exposing the substrate to a silane gas to form a thin silicon-containing layer on the barrier layer during a soak process. The method further provides depositing a tungsten nucleation layer over the barrier layer and the thin silicon-containing layer during an atomic layer deposition process and depositing a tungsten bulk layer on the tungsten nucleation layer during a chemical vapor deposition process. In some examples, the barrier layer contains metallic cobalt and cobalt silicide, or metallic nickel and nickel silicide. In other examples, the barrier layer contains metallic titanium and titanium nitride, or metallic tantalum and tantalum nitride.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide methods for reducing formation of void-type defects on the surface of a substrate during electrochemical plating. Embodiments of the invention provide methods to improve the wetting of a substrate surface prior to immersion and thereby minimize adhesion of bubbles to the substrate surface during immersion. A thin uniform metal oxide is formed on a metal layer on the substrate immediately prior to substrate immersion. In one aspect, exposing the substrate to an oxygen-containing gas, e.g. air, forms the metal oxide. The oxygen-containing gas may be flowed over the substrate or the substrate may be rotated at a high rate in the presence of an oxygen-containing gas. In another aspect, non-uniform metal oxides are first removed from the substrate in an anneal process and a thin uniform metal oxide is subsequently re-formed. An optimized substrate immersion method may also be used to further reduce void defects.
