A reagent kit for measuring coagulation time is described herein. This reagent comprises calcium chelator which interferes with the reaction between calcium and substance other than a coagulation factor in a blood sample, and which substantially does not interfere with coagulation reaction.A method for measuring coagulation time is also described herein. The method comprises a contacting step and a measuring step. The contacting step is to contact a blood sample, calcium and compound selected from the group consisting of partial thromboplastin, tissue thromboplastin, and complex of tissue factor and phospholipid, in the presence of calcium chelator. This calcium chelator can interfere with the reaction between calcium and substance other than a coagulation factor in the blood sample and substantially does not interfere with coagulation reaction. The measuring step is to measure coagulation time of the blood sample.

In the synchronous motor controlling apparatus and method of the invention, a current is detected and subjected to coordinate transformation onto &ggr;-&dgr; axis assumed for the rotor. A correction term is obtained on the basis of the derived current and an arbitrarily given correction current instruction. A &ggr;-&dgr; axis voltage instruction is computed by adding a value obtained by multiplying the correction term by a proper gain to a voltage equation in a steady state of the synchronous motor. Consequently, a control method of small computational load, which does not require gain adjustment according to the inertia of a motor load, can be attained.

A level marking apparatus capable of directly measuring height comprises an elastic synthetic resin tube. One end of the tube is secured to a pressure sensor capable of producing an output voltage and air-tightly sealed, and the other end of the tube is connected to a reference instrument, which has a larger diameter and is shorter in length than the tube. The tube is totally filled with low viscosity macromolecule liquid. Moreover, the pressure sensor is connected to a micro computer programmed to find an average value of fluctuation waveform within a certain cycle of output voltage of the pressure sensor. The micro computer also calculates and memorizes a reference level based on a pressure difference between the reference instrument and the pressure sensor when placed at different heights. Additionally, a marking device is connected to the pressure sensor, and it is actuated by an ON signal from the pressure sensor. The ON signal is dispatched when the marking device is at the same height as the reference level. The marking device and the pressure sensor are secured to a lift, capable of moving up and down along a staff plate. The marking device automatically indicates a level mark when a level is reached equal to the reference level.
